Description

Luxury Log Cabin in the Mountains of British Columbia

The perfect mountain getaway equally enjoyable in the summer or winter. The cabin is uniquely situated amongst other log cabins on a hill in the Purcell Mountain Valley.

A front porch spans the front of the cabin, perfect for your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine while you enjoy the sweeping mountain views. Inside the two story great room boasts a wood burning fireplace made of local river rock. Relax in front of the fire and just unwind.

An upstairs loft overlooks the main living room. The loft has two bedrooms and a bathroom. On the main floor, two more bedrooms and another bathroom allow you and your guests to relax comfortably and have privacy. The kitchen island and dining room table are ideal spaces to gather as a group.

Downstairs, there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom and a full kitchen and second living room. The basement is perfect place for the kids to have their own space.

Once you have settled into the cabin, let the exploring begin. The area activities are abundant. Just a short walk down the street lands you at the banks of the glacier-fed St. Mary's River. Enjoy a walk along the banks listening to the water or fly fish for a trout.

Just a bit further up the road at the top of the street is Kimberley Nature Park. The park offers hiking or snowshoe trails depending on the season. If you're feeling adventurous, there are several challenging mountain bike trails. If you feel like golfing, the Kimberley Golf Country Club less than 5 minutes by car with some of the most beautiful views around. After a day of adventure, relax in the outdoor hot tub under the stars.

From December until April take advantage of skiing at Kimberley Alpine Resort, a short 10 minute drive through town where you will find runs for all ages and abilities and lively après ski entertainment too.

*We have a camera-based security system on the property in common areas only. It is not active when the cabin is in use.

Tranquil cabin

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in late July for a four-day motorcycle rally in Kimberley. Unfortunately there was a few wildfires burning nearby, so the smoke haze cut down on the outdoor activity and visibility, but we tried not to let it hamper us too much since the local evacuation order was under advisement and not mandatory. The owner was very responsive and gave us the option to cancel our trip a couple of days before due to the fires, but we opted to go anyways. We are so glad we did. We have traversed 48 of the 50 United States on a motorcycle and nothing has come close to the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. We rode to Lake Louise, Banff National Park and some of western Alberta. Everywhere we looked was like being in a postcard. We will have many fond memories of British Columbia. The cabin setting was so private and peaceful, surrounded by majestic pines and mountains. We enjoyed sitting on the covered front patio and admiring the wildlife strolling by like deer, skunks and raccoons. Although we did not use much of the cabin since it was just my wife and I, the cabin was clearly designed to accommodate many people and I'm sure has made many lasting memories for many families. The cabin was well appointed with comfortable furniture and appliances. We bought some coffee pods to use in the Kuerig coffee maker, but it would not work with several of the K-cup pods we bought, so I'm not sure what was going on there? Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you for sharing your stunning home with us. ”

Amazing Luxury Log Cabin Stay!

We loved our stay in Kimberly! The log cabin was the perfect place to come home to after a day on the slopes. From the beautiful home touches, the well equipped kitchen, the hot tub and to the cozy fireplace we could not have asked for a better place to stay with family and friends. Mehgan is a wonderful host and helped us so much in planning for and enjoying our stay. We hope to come again!”
