November 2024solaz - a conflicted review on our visit
this was a tough one for me wish i could have given it 3.5 stars but thats not an option resort is beautiful and very well laid out and maintained. everyone was very friendly but there was a surprising amount of the lack of availibility to communicate. I understand that this is mexico and spanish is the native tongue and we are extremely well travelled travelling over 200 days a year and having been to mexico in excess of 25 times. Also this is a marriott autograph collection property and being well acquainted with marriott i expected different. food was overall quite good but was very expensive (42.00 all in for a hamburger) and also quite a mismatch. 5.00 for a vodka soda but 27.00 for a margarita. people and staff very very nice but communication and service were not what I felt it should be for this level of a property we played pickleball twice and the second time the court lines were just taped on the ground and portions were peeling off and some were missing. the net was a jumbled mess against the wall and we spent 10-15 minutes assembling the net so we could play. I explained the situation to the concierge and she said i need to take it up with the tennis manager and i said i already tried but he couldnt communicate with me as he spoke spanish only. I couldnt accomplish any headway so i texted if there was anyone else i could talk to and never received a reply. Not the end of the world but felt you shouldnt charge 40.00 an hour for a court with masking tape lines and a net you had to assemble once again a beautiful property and we did enjoy our stay but just had enough misses on items that made it not a 4 or 5 star review”

March 2019Beautiful Modern Resort with amazing views
Brand new Beautiful Resort with first class amenities. Safe, clean, modern rooms and awesome views. We used the spa, gym and restaurant facilities all of which were excellent, but were very very expensive. The Infinity pools are amazing with swim up bars and beautiful views. We are giving a 4 star because they push selling you a time share, apparently it is common for most of Los Cabos resorts to do, but important for anyone who is a 3rd home homeowner to know that you are going to a time share and so they push to sell you one. ( at $12,000 a week ) Also the resort is so new that the staff is not all on the same page, ex. They sent us to the bar to the 1st day because our room wasn't ready, but the bar wasn't open, then they put us in a different room when our room was ready but didn't tell us it wasn't a presidential suite until we asked the next day, then they offered to move us. They also often give in accurate information because they don't know, like no we don't have an alternate coffee maker but then another guests tells you that you do. Also they charge you $15 per day per person ( regardless of the age) Overall it is a Great location between San Jose and Los Cabos Marina and if you like modern this is the place to be. The car company at the Resort was fabulous, infant Oliver the reservation was more knowledgable then the resort staff.”
