The Roost – Big Canoe

The Roost is a 3,500 square foot 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath rustic yet luxurious home located on and ovwlooking Lake Disharoon inside the award-winning mountain community of Big Canoe. The gated mountain nature preserve offers resort amenities right in the North Georgia mountains including 27 holes of Championship golf, 8 indoor outdoor tennis courts, 10 pickleball courts, 20+miles of hiking trails, 3 lakes with boating and floating options including a marina with dining options and rental equipment, 2 outdoor pools and indoor pool at the Spa and Fitness Center, 3 restaurants, Clubhouse, bocce courts, jeep trail accessing 2 waterfalls, ball fields and 2 playgrounds. The four-bedroom home overlooks Lake Disharoon with easy access to the club.

The home features a rustic modern feel with high-end appointments while keeping the traditional mountain charm. The main level of The Roost offers the great room with stacked stone wood-burning fireplace with free firewood, an oversized RokuTV, an open concept kitchen, vintage wood dining table, bar seating, a deck, and screened porch access, and the beautiful master suite with Roku TV, full bath and deck access.

The terrace level features a luxurious Queen guest bedroom sleeping 2 and a double bunk room sleeping 4, each with full baths. These bedrooms have access to the terrace den/gameroom with oversized wall scrabble, 7ft shuffleboard table, table multicade featuring, over 60 arcade games from the 80s including frogger, Ms pacman, moon patrol and more. Also enjoy using the Roku TV and Wii Universe. Just outside the indoor gameroom is the terrace deck featuring outdoor ping pong table, dart board, two hammocks, lounging and game table.

The top-level boasts the fourth bedroom with quenn bed and a Roku TV. The loft area also has two Twin beds both accessing the full bath with tub/shower combo.

Spend your days around the house grilling with lake and mountain views on the expansive upper deck. The deck offers Weber propane grill and plenty of places to relax between the hammock and loungers.

You are steps to Lake Disharoon, the beach, trails, and Big Canoe Swim Club with spa water pool (summer months) just off the bottom deck. The Swim club offers guests access to rock waterside, paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and floatables for daily fee. Big Canoe also offers 27 holes of golf, tennis, 10 pickleball courts, water activities, a Spa and Fitness Center, Swim Club, 20 + miles of hiking trails, white sand beaches, and 3 lakes. Also, enjoy The Lakeside Bistro overlooking the pool and lake.

Passes may be purchased at the pool area for the Swim Club access. You will not need passes to access the beach and lake except Memorial Day through the last weekend in July then Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day weekend which becomes the Swim Club during that time.
