June 2022We Want to Go Back!
We we unsure about spending a week in only one spot in Costa Rica and are thrilled we did. The place is clean, modern and conveniently located to Quepos town. The rooftop pool was "secluded" right in the middle of everything. There were 4 restaurants right in the marina complex, but our second to try was Cuba Libre, and we kept going back. And - very importantly - the staff led by Johenny was fantastic. Everything we requested she handled perfectly. And while there is a comp mid-week cleaning, we opted for daily service and the fee was very reasonable. We'd go back again tomorrow.”

December 2019Great Condo in a Nice Marina!
We stayed at Marina Pez Vela for two weeks over Christmas. The units are located on the second floor overlooking the Marina's shopping plaza. There is a private pool on the third floor with a beautiful view of the boats and the sunsets. We had the pool to ourselves most days. A badge is required to get to the second and third floors, so safety was never a concern. The marina is very upscale and feels more like San Diego than Costa Rica. There are five nice restaurants right in the marina, most with ocean views. The marina is a couple minute walk to Quepos, which is the main commercial district for the locals, and a 15 minute drive to the more touristy area of Manuel Antonio. We had a rental car, but it definitely wasn't required. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all of the available activities. If you are going into the park, we recommend using a guide. We saw 5 sloths during our hike, but there is 0% chance we would have seen any of them on our own. Parasailing and the Canopy Safari Zip Line were also highlights. Although the location was fantastic and the villa was very nice, we would give it 4 stars because the units overlook a shopping plaza with a lot of activity that can start as early as 6am. But if you like people watching and upscale facilities, the marina is the nicest place we saw during our trip. ”
