Glorious Thanksgiving at May River Retreat
May River Retreat was perfect for our family of ten. The home is tastefully decorated, very well provisioned and spacious. The setting for this comfortable and luxurious home is riverside and the best the low country has to offer. We particularly enjoyed sunsets viewed over the river and reeds while stoking a fire to roast marsh mellows. Bikes and a golf cart are provided to cruise the paved paths that roam through the community. Easy access to fine and casual dining, heated pools and a well equipped exercise facility enhanced our wonderful stay. Perfect!”
This was our first experience with 3rd. Home and what an excellent choice it was. This home and its surroundings will spoil you the minute you walk in the door. Our hosts thought of everything to make our stay a memorable one. You will be sold the first night you see the sunset across the marsh.”
What more can I say ... this is our 2nd time to this fabulous house ..... we hope to go back again! ”
Perfect Southern Getaway!
Beautiful home. We visited in mid-October and enjoyed perfect weather. The surrounding area is beautiful and great for hiking/biking/kayaking. Resort near home has great work-out facilities and restaurants.”
I spent my 60th birthday at this lovely home with my 4 sisters and 3 close friends .... we had a very memorable week full of fun and laughter. This house is beautiful beyond words. We rode bikes every day, kayaked the May River and the waterways of Palmetto Bluff, took the sunset cruise on the Miss Grace, toured the Idea Houses, had a glimpse of a huge wedding reception on Saturday night that was elegant under the tents overlooking the river, enjoyed drinks and fun at the Inn. We began every morning with coffee on the porch and ended every night at the house with a fire by the river! We all were so sad to leave and hope to come back again ....... Palmetto Bluff is fabulous! Being a bunch of ladies we had some fabulous meals right from our own kitchen. We had two football stadiums set up for Saturday football ... one on the screen porch and one inside .....just a wonderful relaxing week! Meredith was a gracious hostess! ”
Beautiful May River Retreat
My husband and I just returned from our stay in this beautiful Palmetto Bluff home. We truly didn't want to leave. This home is beautiful and perfect in every way. No detail has been overlooked and we found it cozy and relaxing. We loved everything about it. The kitchen is this chef's dream with Thermidor appliances throughout. We enjoyed staying in and cooking as much as dining out at the various restaurants on property (Canoe Club was great)! The screened porch with fireplace was a great place to watch the sun go down over the changing tides of the river behind us or to watch college football. We took full advantage of the bikes and the golf cart, as Palmetto Bluff has great trails throughout. We loved the privacy of this home and the resort and all it has to offer. The owners were very generous and accommodating, really made us feel at home. We will definitely consider going back.”
