The Stonehouse at Canyon Lake is a Hill Country Modern that boasts mid-century modern decor and great views for water, sunsets, deer and other wildlife.

The house has four lovely bedrooms and one is a bunk room that sleeps six. For extra sleeping room, there's also a queen daybed with trundle in the living area. With lots of natural light, the beautiful outdoors have been brought in!

The home is just 3 minutes from one of the many free boat ramps on Canyon Lake with ample space for boat parking. Also, just 8 minutes down the road is White Water Amphitheater -- make sure to catch a concert there during your stay if in season! Other area hot spots that are must visits are New Braunfels and Gruene, TX,-- both just 15 minutes away. Gruene is especially a favorite and this historic town includes the world famous Gruene Hall and many great shopping and dining options.

Other great activities to take advantage of during your stay include floating the Guadalupe or Comal rivers, cruising the gorgeous lake, fishing, brewery, winery and distillery tours, visits to local farmer's markets, local artisans and plenty of great antique shops.

This great property allows you to be close to all of the renowned attractions that the Texas Hill Country, and if you haven't been to the Hill Country, this home would make for a perfect home base for your first trip to explore this area!

Disappointed

Nice owners but disappointed with this property for the following reasons: limited privacy caused by nearby RV and 2 other homes (1 that shares the same drive), the advertised 'great water view" is currently only a small sliver of water visible to the 1 or 2 lucky people sitting or standing in just the right spot, the outside front patio furniture is very low to the ground and not comfortable (and tough to get up from) and the back patio furniture is weathered, the Queen sized trundle bed in the living room is odd and only makes the room tighter and less comfortable, standard TV such as the news was not accessible and all services required the use of personal passwords, our master bath had mold in the shower area in various locations (but the rest of the home was very clean), the outside of the house had a number of raw wood areas needing paint and the main landscaped bed beside the walkway was overgrown with weeds. ---We had 3 couples at our highest occupancy level and I cannot imagine using this home for the number of people it claims to accommodate (15), but perhaps 6 adults with children could work if you do not mind very close quarters. Sadly, we expect more from a ThirdHome property valued at 2-6 keys.”
