Beautiful, Quiet, Friendly People
We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa for our honeymoon, and it was wonderful! The property is beautiful, we were surrounded by the most pristine beaches we have ever seen, and the everyone we met who worked there was incredibly nice. The property is surrounded by a golf course and there is a marina nearby- definitely take advantage of those! Also, the Exumas are a far better place to visit than staying in Nassau. If you are there the 1st week of September, make sure to bring bug spray! Otherwise it is the perfect time- very quiet, nice weather, etc.”
One Week in Paradise
Grand Isle Resport & Spa is beautifully situated with absolutely gorgeous beaches, friendly staff and attentive service. Our one bedroom villa was just as described, overlooking the marina and ocean, elegantly appointed with everything needed to prepare meals at home. The restaurant on the premises was also quite good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. ”
A Slice of Paradise!
I had the pleasure of staying in the 1 Bedroom Villa at Grand Isle Resort and Spa. What a fabulous place! If you want a beautiful, quiet beach with reef snorkeling right there, along with great accommodations, this place is the ticket. The unit that I stayed in was beautiful and exceptionally well-built with every amenity I could want. The golf cart that comes with every unit allowed me to explore the resort and surrounding area. The food and the staff was exceptional. This was my first trip to Exuma but certainly not my last and I would highly recommend Grand Isle Resort and Spa to anyone interested in a luxurious and relaxing getaway on a beautiful peaceful island in the Caribbean. ”
January Getaway to the Bahamas
My wife, son (1.5), and I took a 1 week trip to the Grand Isle resort to escape the January cold. The experience was amazing. The accommodations were superb, the staff incredible, and the food at the resort was excellent. I actually wouldn't recommend leaving...although we heard many people took day trips to see other parts of the island. We were just into an extremely relaxing vacation from our very busy lives. At the end of the day, the PEOPLE/STAFF at the resort made the experience. Big smiles and hellos everywhere we went. Also great pool scene, great beach just steps away, and golf carts to help the transport from villa to pool. My wife and I reflected and only had one issue...the bed just wasn't comfy which was surprising from such a high-end place. We will echo another comment...good to rent a car and do a big grocery shop upon arrival in Georgetown. That saved us. They will come pick it up at the resort for no extra charge. What a fantastic trip. We would definitely go back. ”
Gorgeous Villa, Beautiful Location
My family stayed at the Grand Isle Resort last week, so our memories are fresh. First of all, the beach was pristine white and the water at Emerald Bay was turquoise and clear. My husband snorkeled the first day off the reef and described it as swimming in an aquarium. All snorkels, fins, masks, buckets and shovels were complimentary and my girls took full advantage of them. We took a water taxi out of Georgetown to Stocking Island (Chat n'Chill) and ate fresh conch salad and fed the stingrays...it was a lot of fun. The golf course that surrounds the property is absolutely a must if you play...it is both challenging and beautiful! A few of the days it rained and we stayed inside the villa, which was no punishment. The villas are professionally and beautifully decorated Every one is fully stocked in premium cookware, top end appliances, and every comfort imaginable. The staff was very helpful and we spent many days by the pool and the restaurant. Our only suggestion (if you plan on cooking) is purchasing your groceries in Georgetown upon arrival or renting a car so that you are free to do so as you wish..groceries are not close by and it can be pricey with the cost of taxi/groceries without one. All in all we would highly recommend this resort area. It is peaceful, beautiful and worth the trip!”
