Luxury Farm Estate and Conservancy

Hosack Farm is part of the original Vanderbilt Farm, established in 1896, and is a Luxury Farm Estate and Conservancy that offers almost one hundred acres of meadows, farmland, woodlands, and orchards. Visitors will enjoy a natural creek, pond, hiking trails and waterfalls, which add to the distinctiveness of this historic property. Designed by McKim , Mead & White, with 10,000 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, and plenty of nearby activities, guests will enjoy an expansive property as well as elegant living quarters.

This beautiful mansion greets you with an elegant entryway with original hardwood floors, a chandelier, and graceful crown molding throughout. Step into the living room with modern furnishings and traditional accents. The space offers beautiful mahogany finishes and furnishings as well as personal accents.

The chef’s kitchen offers plenty of room for the entire family to come together and cook a meal, or for the host of the group to do some entertaining. Surrounded by stainless steel shelves, countertops, and appliances, the kitchen offers an updated design of the modern farmhouse. The cooks in the family will enjoy the oversized appliances, such as the oven, refrigerator, sinks, etc. and guests will enjoy standing around the center island while they enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail.

There are seven bedrooms in the home, each with their own unique view of this incredible property. There are four bedrooms that feature queen beds, and three bedrooms that offer twin beds. The home also includes three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. Each bathroom is adorned a marble sink, white tiling and modern amenities.

Imagine spending the day strolling among the natural and formal gardens and woodland trails throughout the property. A Golf cart is available to guests, so everyone can enjoy what the farm truly has to offer. In the evenings, sit around the Adirondack firepit and enjoy one another’s company. In the morning, head out to the tennis court or soccer field for some outdoor and family fun. On rainy days, enjoy the incredible in-home theater to watch a family favorite. Get in a workout at the in-home gym with state-of-the-art equipment.

The Vanderbilt Mansion and a six-hundred-acre National Park are only a quarter mile away and accessible through a private driveway and historic farm lane. Spend the days hiking and biking in this natural paradise. Head out to Rhinebeck, Germantown or Hudson and enjoy family-owned restaurants and explore legendary farms, mansions, and national landmarks.

For a true country getaway, on a Gilded-Age estate, surrounded by plenty of outdoor life, culture, and history, this Luxury Farm Estate and Conservancy is an ideal property.

Breathtaking Property

This home is lovingly and beautifully restored and the grounds are absolutely stunning. Wild turkeys walk around in the mist in the morning off in the distance you may see some deer. The vegetable garden is perfectly located off of the kitchen with a beautiful table to eat on. The orchard provides beautiful fresh fruit. Our 4 year old loved helping us pick things to eat. I’ve never seen grounds this beautifully maintained. We were right across the street from the larger Vanderbilt estate grounds but we felt no need to leave Hosack Farms. The photos don’t do this property justice. Highly recommend.”
