Great Hill Country Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Frio House. It was a short drive to Garner State park where we floated the river twice during our stay and the weather was unusually perfect for August! (We had one evening the temperature was 78 with a nice breeze and most other days the high was only around 90!) The house is larger than expected and our group had plenty of room to work and play! We appreciated the strong Wifi so we could make this a working vacation. We saw wildlife every evening from deer, jackrabbits, raccoons and even a friendly skunk! My only comment is that you will need to bring everything from a hair dryer, casserole dishes, trash bags, soap, detergent for the dishwasher and any other thing you can think of as these things are not provided. There are also no sheets or bath towels, but thankfully the owners let us use their private stash. Overall, we had a great time and would return again!”

Great stay!

We loved staying at Casa Soulshine! The house is set up perfectly for a big group with each room being at separate corners of the house with their own bathrooms. Accommodations within the house were great! Also, loved having a TV in every bedroom AND outside by the pool. Definitely recommend and would stay again! ”

Concon Texas

We enjoyed a family vacation at Casa Soulshine in Concon Texas so much. There was plenty of space for all nine of us to move around without tripping over each other and the furnishings were very comfortable. We spent one afternoon splashing in the Frigo River which is a short drive from the house. We walked around the golf course which should appeal to golfers and enjoyed great burgers and fries at the restaurant there. Most of the time we just appreciated being together. ”

Family Retreat

Found Casa Soulshine inviting and well presented for our stay. Frio river and surrounding hills provided a distinct contrast other parts of Texas. House was well designed for us to feel at home each with our own bedroom and bathroom. Open concept livingroom/diningroom/kitchen had us all together for meals and games. All appliances, water, a/c worked properly. Outside covered patio was spacious and well appointed for our needs. Used the clean pool every day, the grill/smoker a definite plus for brisquet and paella and firepit well made for evening gathering. Cellular service non existant (Verizon) for navigation. Wifi worked well in the house. TV in everyroom a plus. The overall experience was relaxing and stress free.”
