Discover the breathtaking foothills of the Andes Mountains within the lovely Argentinean town of Esquel. Serenely remote and more "off the beaten path" with a low tourist footprint than other areas in the region, Esquel is a rare gem. Dotted with forests, lakes, waterfalls and rare pudu deer, this Patagonia wonderland will delight every nature lover. It makes for a great home-base in which to explore the world renowned nearby attractions and experiences, ranging from hiking the UNESCO Natural Heritage Los Alerces National Park, visiting the ancient town of La Trochita, strolling the charming Trevelin Welsh Town, riding the historic Old Patagonian steam train, pretending you're in the cast of the Butch Cassidy movie's cabin, enjoying some world-class Patagonia fishing, boating on its tranquil lakes and marveling at its extraordinary beauty in every direction. For those who seek more of an adrenaline-rush, then take to the Corcovado River for rafting and kayaking explorations within its natural boundaries; or perhaps consider hiking Torrecillas Glacier. Should you wish to explore further out into Argentina, then the Esquel airport is only 90-minutes away and operates regular flight services into Buenos Aires and other route stops worth considering.
Surrounded by equally stunning nature and vistas, experience a stay in the Laguna Larga Lodge within this exquisite region of Argentina. With views of the Andes and the tranquility of Lake Larga, the Lodge offers guests an unforgettable experience. Built on 270-acres, its proximity to Los Alerces National Park's virgin forest with its beautiful coastline and beach is only 15-minutes away. Sit upon the lawn or the lovely decks of the Lodge to take in the views with a good book and a glass of wine from Mendoza. Venture out from the convenient pier on a kayak or rubber motorized boat to explore the pristine Lake; be inspired to photograph, draw or sketch the scenes you are encountering.
Step within the Lodge to find a masterfully crafted wooden and stone structure interior, complete with wooden flooring and large picture windows that reveal the nature beyond from every room. The two living rooms with comfortable leather seating and fireplaces, along with two dining rooms and a professional kitchen for devouring local cuisine with an optional chef-dinner, including its very own wine cellar for tasting more than 100 labels from all over Argentina, makes it the ultimate backdrop for entertaining with family and friends.
The Lodge is comprised of a main house with four bedrooms with a variety of bedding, each with their own private bathrooms. Additionally, there are two separate Master Suites with one King Bed and two sofa sleeper-beds (which can accommodate comfortably four people); including the most unique sleeping option within a geo-Dome tented bedroom completely private, with its own bathroom which can sleep four people.
