Blue Water Acres Resort, Muskoka Canada
The land on which the Lake of Bays resort is located is prime real estate on this lake for many reasons. It offers a great view of the lake. There is a natural sandy beach with an abundance of level open space leading away from the waterfront. The topography surrounding the open area rises gently. Natural wooded areas and granite rock offer quiet and private surrounding. You can relax at the beach, hike a wooded trail, or admire the view from various lookouts on the resort. It experiences spectacular transformations as it moves from one season to another.
Blue Water Acres is a large family-friendly resort located on Lake of Bays, one of the largest lakes in Muskoka. This is your opportunity to experience luxury cottage life. There is a spacious safe sandy beach, and there is a good selection of kayaks, canoes and paddleboats. Motorboats may be rented from the marina in the next bay. BWA has a wooded hiking trail, tennis, an indoor pool, clubhouse, exercise room and a bonfire pit. Boating in the bay is safe for children, who can be watched from shore, and there is limited boat traffic.
Meadowvale has a great view of the bay from the deck and Muskoka room. This unit includes three bedrooms; a master bedroom with a king size bed, a second bedroom with twin beds and a third bedroom with a queen size bed. There are two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and one with a combination tub and shower. The large sundeck can be accessed from the three-season Muskoka Room.
The resort is a pleasant 20 minute drive to Huntsville which is a charming town featuring good shopping and waterfront restaurants, an arts centre and movie theatre. Alqonquin Provincial Park is less than two hours east on Highway 60; Henrietta's Bakery is a short drive to Dwight. Muskoka cottage life is a unique Canadian experience, and Lake of Bays is considered among the finest of its many lakes, noted for its excellent boating, and spectacular cottages. There are numerous golf courses in the area, and downhill skiing. The fall is a beautiful time of year as the trees change colour, the lake is quiet, and the bugs are gone.
