Description

"Deep Blue" Leopard 58 Yacht. www.saildeepblue.com

Imagine the flow of gentle trade winds as you voyage through the Caribbean's calm turquoise waters just long enough to anchor along white-sand beaches, discover spectacular snorkeling and diving spots, and explore local gems scattered along island shores. Now you have the perfect picture of what a vacation looks like sailing on Deep Blue.

Hop aboard this 58-foot catamaran based in Tortola, BVI—the BVI's largest and capital island. The yacht layout accommodates eight guests and features four full air-conditioned cabins. The master cabin features a queen bed, and there are three guest cabins, each with a queen bed. Each cabin has en-suite facilities.

In the main salon, a U-shaped booth borders a set-in table for dining. Alfresco dining is found up on the spacious flybridge fitted with a grill, sun loungers, and seating for everybody. This incredible area provides the perfect spot to soak in 360-degree views of the Caribbean. A large open aft deck and forward cockpit accessible directly from the salon allow for even more outdoor living and dining space.

The aft deck also leads to the hydraulic dinghy platform with a 70hp engine and swim platform for easy water access. Watersports offered onboard include a tube, kayak, standup paddleboards, snorkeling gear. Also available is rendezvous diving with local dive ship (extra cost).

Onboard amenities include salon TV with streaming, salon stereo, iPod/device hookups, and board games.

Please find specifics for this vessel here: www.deepbluebvi.com

*** The owner is open to week requests ***

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Based in BVIs, (subject to local customs and immigration restrictions) can sometimes arrange for pickup in Charlotte Amalie St Thomas ( $50 BVI Entry fee each way). Not a bareboat. Captain and chef are required.

All other costs, including provisioning, are included in the yacht's $28-$34,000 retail value for a week (depends on season and number of guests).

House Rules

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON ILLEGAL DRUGS (EVEN IF LEGAL IN YOUR HOME STATE). NO DRUG USE IS EVER PERMITTED ON THE BOAT. IF YOU BRING/USE DRUGS THE CHARTER WILL BE TERMINATED WITHOUT FURTHER DISCUSSION. PLEASE DON'T CHOOSE THIS VACATION IF YOU WANT TO BRING/TAKE DRUGS. THANKS

Provisioning and Other Fees

The "retail charter value" depends on dates and the number of people. You can find the retail value of the charter in the "rates" section at www.deepbluebvi.com.

The Owner trades 50% of the retail value in Third Home Keys (at $1500 per key) and the guests would pay the balance in Cash to cover hard costs of crew, food, diesel, alcohol, permits which are all included. In addition, guests pay the tip for the staff (generally 15-20%) of the retail charter value payable in cash at the end of the charter ($5-$7k is expected for an amazing experience).

The benefit to you versus a charter booked through a broker is the ability to trade keys for around $17,000 of cost.

Please note - Once booked cancellations are not permitted. Payment due immediately upon reservation.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy 1-2 dinners in some of the great restaurants in BVI and/or USVI to sample local fare. We typically provision the yacht with this expectation.

Beautiful seas, wonderful people

We had a wonderful trip on the Deep Blue with Captain Dick and his wonderful wife Kim. The 58 foot Leopard Catamaran is fantastic, Captain Dick is outstanding at the helm and his wife Kim made fantastic food and beverage. They are simply wonderful hosts and we cannot wait to return. Their non stop efforts insured that a great time was had by everyone. Great Sailboat, perfect location, superb food and even better people. We cannot wait to sail with them again!”

Best Family Trip we Have Taken!

Our family of 5 went on “Deep Blue” for our Spring Break Trip and it was the best family vacation we have taken. We have three boys, ages 18, 10 and 8 which can be difficult to find activities we can all enjoy. But there was something for all of us on this trip, whether it was the beach, snorkeling, sightseeing or activities. The boat was comfortable and spacious for our group of 5. What truly made it special was the staff on Deep Blue, Adrien and Christina. There were so incredibly helpful, attentive and kind. My 8 year old says Christina was his favorite part of the trip!”
