Highly Recommend!

This home has an incredible location right on the beach, with everything you need within walking distance. The neighborhood is filled with surfers, dogs, and families walking around, and everyone is laid back and happy. We rented a car, which was nice to have, but you could walk or Uber anywhere easily. We were here for a wedding in Fallbrook, and it was the perfect location to enjoy the beach, go down to San Diego, and then go up to Fallbrook. The host was also incredible and communicated the whole trip. 10/10, you have to stay here! ”

This is one of the coolest places I’ve been. The owner is extremely meticulous and has thought of every need you might have during your stay. I’m not a surfer, but this is a big time surfing hot spot. Watching the surfers (most of which park across the way) all day and night was so cool. We saw whales and dolphins from the hot tub, and enjoyed many great places to eat and drink nearby. One great thing is how well stocked the house is. They encourage you to leave as much or more as was there when you arrived. It’s a really neat system, and something I enjoyed. Confident I’ll be asking to come back sometime. Extremely memorable week for our family!”

Amazing Family Stay in Leucadia!

Our week at the Beachfront CA Cottage was incredible! We enjoyed the beautiful interior, the lanai with the hot tub and firepit for sunsets and evenings, the bikes to cruise to the local donut shop and so much good food nearby. We are a family of surfers and Grandview surf break is right out front - we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our family's fall break. Mahalo!”

Leaving the expansive deck was our greatest challenge!

Thank you Wendy & Matt for allowing us to stay in your incredible beach house. Your three tier deck was our absolute favorite. We found that we actually never wanted to leave to go out for dinner. The view was intoxicating and too difficult to pull away from. The house is so well equipped from the kitchen, to beach towels, to boogie boards/surf boards and wet suits. The beds were all so comfy, too. And we loved the decor as well. This was a vacation where new epic memories were made. Thank you.”

A surfer's dream!

We enjoyed a glorious week of fun and relaxation in this gorgeous beach home. The area directly in front of the home must’ve been the primo spot to catch perfect waves because from sun up to sundown there were plenty of surfers to watch. We tried our luck at the sport as the homeowner, Matt, had surfboards and wetsuits for us to use. Whether sipping on morning coffee or evening cocktails, the back deck was our favorite place to hang out. One evening we enjoyed watching a pod of dolphins make their way across our oceanfront view. They swam and flipped among the surfers, all waiting to catch that perfect wave. The cool summer evenings meant we could enjoy the outdoor fire pit. This home really had anything and everything we could want for that perfect beach getaway! Wendy and Matt were wonderful hosts and shared insider tips on the area. The city of Encinitas was such a laid-back beach town with an abundance of local food and drink spots to enjoy. San Diego was only a short drive south and could be easily reached taking the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Can’t wait to return!”

Sunset Paradise

This charming beach cottage is pure delight with expansive ocean views from the living room, kitchen, dining and master bedroom. The entire house is tastefully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the surfers who seemed to be surfing directly in front of the house from morning until night. The home is well stocked with excellent cookware and dishes. The beds were all comfortable and there were ample linens and towels. Parking can be challenging in the area so having a garage was a big plus. Lots of great restaurants in the nearby towns. We hope to return again soon!”

Best week EVER!!!

We recently visited Encinitas, California of the Matthew's beachfront home. The home was impeccable, recently renovated and no detail was overlooked. The Matthews did a phenomenal job and the home is equipped for a luxurious experience. The view is breath taking and the giant back cement deck and outdoor furniture encourages you to enjoy the outdoor living California is famous for. The Matthews have thought of everything, including detailed security that allows you to access the house keyless, yet fully secured. Direct access to the gorgeous beach and fun surf in front of the house was worth the trip alone!! We surfed every day and the kids enjoyed all of the sand toys that were stocked in the garage. Heading down the steps directly to the beach allowed us to leverage our beach time, avoiding cars/packing/parking and melt downs. We enjoyed the beach so much and appreciated the private access to no end! One of our friends is an avid cook, who maximized every opportunity to utilize the well designed and stocked kitchen. The open floor plan allows you to have family meals, relaxed great room comfort and panoramic views of the Pacific.....perfect, just perfect! The Matthews are very thoughtful and equipped us with detailed information prior to our arrival, allowing us to begin a fun vacation immediately. All of their advice was impeccable and we truly appreciated having all of our questions answered at our finger tips. A huge thank you to the Matthews and 3rd Home.
