Description

Starlight Cabin Ten Acre Retreat

Relax and rejuvenate in this custom-built three-bedroom, two-bathroom log cabin on ten private acres. Close to Lake Ossipee's public boat launch, yet private and tranquil. This cabin is custom-built with hand-hewn logs, soaring cathedral ceilings, and many quiet spaces designed for you to relax and unwind. Listen to the river and enjoy the views from the wrap-around decks or the screened-in porch.

Curl up in front of the warm, cozy wood stove, and gaze up at the gorgeous ceilings and skylights while you relax in the living room.
Whip up a feast in the charming, fully stocked kitchen featuring custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, and enjoy the dining table with seating for six. The two bedrooms on the first floor of the cabin offer one queen bed, and one twin-over-queen bunk. They share a full bathroom with a shower and tub.

Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom with a king-sized bed located strategically underneath a skylight, designed for stargazing (hence the cabin name). This bedroom has a large closet with an optional pack 'n play if needed. Adjacent to the master bedroom is the master bath, including a stand-up shower. Completing the upstairs is a cozy loft overlooking the main floor where you can unwind and watch your favorite movies.

The finished basement has its own wood stove and a mini-split for heating or cooling. A sectional couch with a pull-out queen bed and an additional queen bed in a semi-private corner are included when you need extra space. The property offers lightning-fast internet and a dedicated workspace to make this an ideal stay for remote work.

** Although we have accommodations for children, including a mini high chair, pack n play, and toys, we would like parents to know that this property has two wood stoves and a loft area that might be dangerous for unattended toddlers.

Almost perfect secluded cabin

This cabin was truly in the woods. We enjoyed how quiet and secluded it was. The reasons for our 4 star review are: The bushes could have used some landscaping attention; for people with bug issues, the screened porch and window screens needed to be cleared of debris and cobwebs; the wood stoves were not setup with what we needed to start them. This may have been because the temperature was just cooling off; clearer written instructions (picture of remote) for changing from cool to heat for people that only use thermostats with heat and cool options; some of the windows were painted shut. Positive features we enjoyed. We liked that there were spices and condiments, since most of the time you have to purchase these, when you only need a teaspoon or two. The separate downstairs sectional area allows for early risers a place to watch the news and drink their coffee without bothering the late sleepers. There are multiple common areas. It is very close (less than 10 minutes) to a golf course! Don’t let my review keep you away. We did have a lovely stay.”
