August 2023The Haven, Liscannor, Ireland
This was our first experience with a Third Home facility and we were rather disappointed in the actual cottage. It was a great location, but was a fairly rustic facility. The shower hot water lasted for about 2 showers and we had 4 adults, so we had to watch closely that we had adequate hot water. Liscannor was a really quaint village with a couple of great pubs. All in all, it just didn't meet our expectations for a Third Home. The pictures were much nicer looking than the actual.”

July 2023Warm and Cozy on the Wild Atlantic Way
Such a wonderful week we had at the Haven. Doreen was such a great host, took care of all the little intangibles that made us feel extra welcome. The property sits on the water with unobstructed views through large bay windows of the bay, surrounding coastal areas, and the ruins of Liscannor castle. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, grilling, and using the outdoor sauna on most days. We had everything we needed to stay comfy and cozy when the weather kicked up, including many soft blankets and a wood stove. The beds were comfortable and the house well appointed. Liscannor is a quaint little coastal town with several pubs and restaurants, and a short drive to Lahinch for additional options. We played golf in Lahinch, enjoyed the Cliffs of Moher, the little town of Doolin an it's great music, and caught the ferry to the Aran islands, all within a short drive. Perfect location to venture further north through the Burren on the way to Galway, or south to Killkee Cliffs and Loop Head Lighthouse. We felt like we experienced the "real" Ireland at the Haven. Highly recommend.”
