Alpine Charm at Its Best!

Where do we even begin to describe this amazing property? The property was outstanding but what impressed us the most was Kim, the BEST ThirdHome host we have ever encountered. Kim makes hosting look like a stay at the finest 5-star resort, from our personal note and welcome basket, to her fine selection of top-shelf bar, to the never ending Swiss chocolate goodie bowl. We were joined by another ThirdHome couple and they, also, agreed that this was top in their book. The chalet is immaculate - I think I'm a clean freak, well she gives me a run for my money in that department. Beds were super comfortable and bedrooms afforded plenty of privacy from other guests. Kitchen was well stocked, down to unlimited coffee pods, spices, and every type of dishware possible. Kim has beautiful decorations and candles throughout the home; nothing has been missed in this lovely chalet. The location is perfect - easy walk to town and lots of restaurant choices. We walked to the slope every day and that was very convenient. We had a car (as did our guests) and parking on property was available. Kim was an invaluable resource - she's authored a book full of information on the home and the local haunts. She also hooked us up with our ski guide, Thomas Mathis. We highly recommend hiring a guide, especially if going off piste. Thomas was amazing and can be whatsapped at +41 79 544 63 42. Kim made our week a dream and we cannot wait to return. Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

Kim was so easy to communicate with and very organized with her information. Kim and Rene were very gracious hosts. Their home is lovely and has all the amenities that you would need. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipt . The open living floor plan made it easy to cook and still be part of the fun in the dining/living room. The location is an easy walk to town, the chair lift and the train station. We are glad that we opted for the train because we did not need a car. We took the train for a day trip to ski in San Moritz and it worked out very well. Upon Kim’s recommendation, at the end of our stay in Klosters we took the train to Arosa to continue skiing for a few more days. We couldn’t have been happier with Kim’s advice!! Thanks again Kim! Just outstanding!

Truly a one of a kind stay in a stunning area of Switzerland! Kim was an amazing host, excellent communication and support throughout our stay. Kind, considerate and very generous. The chalet is as stunning as the photos, we were extremely comfortable and felt right at home. I cannot recommend this home more. We visited during an off peak time so many restaurants were closed, however this was not an issue for us, although we can imagine it would be outstanding during busier seasons. Everything was incredible, would visit again without question. Thank you Kim!!”

Great week in Klosters!

We had a great week in Kim Chinny's beautiful holiday home. Very warm welcome and during week our questions were quickly answered. The apartment is spacious and very suitable for 6 guests. The house is cosy including a good fireplace. Kitchen equipment also fine. In the morning, we walked to the ski gondola in just over 5 minutes. We also used the communal, clean and nice sauna several times. In short: a great week in all respects! ”

Beautiful chalet

Our second stay at Chalet Platzersch Once again the chalet was so warm and inviting with so many fabulous personal touches from Kim. The chalet is so well equipped for guests wishing to dine at home and one of our guests enjoyed the various sunny balconies during the day (due to a ski injury!) Thos year we also tried cross country with the 25km’s of tracks within a 5 min walk from the chalet. Kim recommended great restaurants and ensured we got the best ski hire rates locally too. Cannot recommend the chalet more. Thanks again Kim. ”

Amazing experience

Chalet Platzersch hof Klosters was the perfect property and holiday for us and 2 other couples for a skiing holiday in Klosters, Kim was a very considerate and attentive host from the original booking, providing information, tips and leaving us the most generous arrival gift. The property is a large chalet style apartment, with 3 lovely balconies for anyone not skiing in the winter. The kitchen is really well equipped with very high quality cooking utensils and crockerty, the apartment is so nice that we ended up cooking and eating in most evenings but there are a host of great restaurants locally too. The master suite is super comfortable with an en-suite and the twin bedroom is also very generous in proportions and has an ensuite the 3rd bedroom is more suitable for kids, but we had adults in there and they were perfectly happy! The apartment is within easy walking distance to the lift station and everything is super close in Klosgters as it is a small quiet village, Kim was the best host I have had the pleasure of communicating with in the club and that can make such a difference to your holiday. Thank you Kim, we will be back for sure!”

Expectations exceeded!

We felt so welcome, such an amazing host, plus lovely property. Even better than in the pics. So many details, such a perfect stay. Location was also ideal for us: great skiing stay plus she even arranged the best possible snow and weather :- ) Super grateful for everything!! Return Visit (also Fabulous!)

.......only 5 months since our previous visit! This time in early summer. Klosters is much quieter in summer and provides a wonderful base for mountain walking and biking (e-biking in our case!). The apartment design was brilliant for our previous winter visit but also well designed for summer - with balconies opening to the east, west and south getting lots of sun and air. Kim again was extremely helpful in providing extensive lists of restaurants and summer outings. Many thanks again!”

A fabulous stay!

Chalet Platzersch Hof is, as the photos suggest, a very beautiful home in a very special part of the world. The interior is very warm and relaxing with traditional timber lining everywhere. The apartment is beautifully furnished and equipped - including a very clever fireplace making it extremely cosy. There is also underfloor heating throughout - meaning the apartment was quite a toasty temperature! There are lots of great restaurants nearby in Klosters and the main Klosters cable car is within easy walking distance. Davos is only a 30 minute train ride away via an amazingly beautiful tiny gauge mountain railway. The owner Kim was extremely helpful in providing restaurant recommendations and making ski school enquiries for us. She also very kindly collected us from the railway station on our arrival - and provided a very generous welcome hamper. Many thanks Kim for sharing your beautiful home with us! (PS.
