Description

Nethy Bridge is a small village in Strathspey in the Highland council area of Scotland. This small town is one of the most sought-after locations in the Cairngorms. It is a quiet, charming village just 12 miles from Aviemore, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and at the head of the Speyside Way.

The area offers a wide range of local shops, restaurants and bars. Outdoor activities such as mountain and quad biking, climbing and hill walking.
Water sports are also quite popular due to the excellent location nearby Loch Insh, Loch Morlich and the River Spey.

Beautiful Natural Wildlife Parks surround this area, such as the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie, the Landmark Forest Adventure Park or the RSPB Reserve nearby Loch Garten.
Situated on the edge of Nethy Bridge, "Lag Na Coille" (Gaelic for in the hollow of the wood) is a 10-minute walk from the local Nethy House Cafe, the well-stocked Balliefurth Farm Shop, the SPAR and the local Nethy Hotel Bar and Restaurant.

This cosy modern private home is spacious and comfortable.
The four double bedrooms are generous in size. All the bedrooms feature a blend of rustic and elegant decor.
The living areas are nicely furnished with colourful elements and a traditional style. The large windows allow plenty of natural light, bringing brightness and a welcoming feel.

Guests will have access to the garage, an extensive football table, and a dartboard. Badminton nets and hammocks are available, too, as are buckets and spades for children looking to play on Loch Morlich Beach. There are maps and guidebooks available, together with family games and books.

The outdoor areas feature a large garden that is fenced and safe all the way around, so it is perfect for families and pets. We welcome well-behaved dogs.
With the lovely and warm hot tub and the surrounding landscape of the Cairngorms mountains and forest views, this property is ideal for family and friends to relax, have a soak in the hot tub, light the fire, and enjoy their fantastic stay in such a beautiful and romantic scenery.

Highland Gem

The cottage had everything we needed, very comfortable for relaxing and sleeping, and very well situated. We used Nethy Bridge’s well stocked farm deli, the hotel for a great pint, and grocery shopping in nearby Aviemore. Our visits included The Cairn distillery, Loch Tummel, Pitlochry, Stonehaven and the Isle of Skye - there is so much to going on in the area. The drive up from Edinburgh was a breeze.”

A relaxing stay in the Scottish Highlands

We can’t say enough about our stay in the quaint country home in Nethy Bridge. It was everything we hoped for and the perfect cozy, well-appointed home. The owner, Malcolm, was exceptional and suggested sites and local must do’s. We cannot wait to go back to Scotland and would be staying at this home again. ”
