The Perfect Spot by the Ocean

The Whale Cove Oceanfront Dream was delightful. The best part was the view- whales, seals, sea birds, crashing waves and sunsets. The condo was completely stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were so comfortable. We miss going to sleep to sound of the surf, so we will have to come back. Thanks!”

Second time here!

FIVE stars for sure! We loved this place and Depoe Bay so much that we stayed a second time! The condo is so well kept, generously appointed with cookware, spices, coffees.... we bought fresh fish right off of the boat from nearby Newport and enjoyed it with wines bought from a visit to a vineyard in Willamette Valley - such treasures of the region! The crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean are mezmorizing - we saw seals every day, whales regularly and were even fortunate enough to see a pod of Orcas swim through - TWICE - morning and evening, right from the windows of the condo! Joni is an amazing host and we loved the property. We hiked every day along the Oregon Coastal Trail, which is steps from the property, as well as through other walking paths of Depoe Bay, and ventured out to many of the diverse beaches. Restaurant favorites were Tidal Raves and Gracies and for a special treat, check out Restaurant Beck. What a beautiful property and area. ”

Such a Warm and Cozy Stay

Perfect get away on the Oregon coast

Donna and I were visiting friends in Ashland and decided to extend our time in Oregon by exploring the Oregon coast. We found this little hideaway several months ago. As is our experience with Third Home, we were very pleasantly surprised. The unit is right on the coast in Depoe Bay. The Pacific Ocean is the backyard. It was a bit cold while we were there but we spent hours relaxing in the unit or on the Adirondack Chairs in the backyard. There is a lot to see in the area and we wandered out every day. We found some very good restaurants. The birch was fully stocked including a French Roaster that we used to make a Pot Roast that we ate on all week. The place is extremely well taken care of. It has easy access. Joni is a wonderful hostess. She communicates well and leaves plenty of information on the unit and the area. We may or may not return to the area but if we do, we will definitely stay at this property.”

Wonderful Oregon Coast Getaway

Our visit in Joni's condo was fantastic. She was the consummate host and always available. We came expecting rain this time of year but it did not deter us from having a great time. It was actually nice because the best restaurants and attractions did not have lines! The unit and views of the ocean were amazing. Thank you Joni for making our stay so enjoyable. Depoe Bay, OR Anniversary Trip

Our stay in Joni's condo was everything and more than we had hoped for! The view of the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking. We saw whales nearly every day from our patio, living room area and bedroom. The crashing of the waves and the sunsets were mesmerizing! Joni checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The condo is well appointed, beautifully decorated and the furnishings very comfortable. The location of the condo is absolutely perfect! We walked the Oregon Costal trail extensively, we explored near by beaches, walked to amazing restaurants and had the time of our lives! This was a perfect stay! ”

Whale Watching Paradise

WOW! Open your bedroom door and watch/listen to the Gray Whales of the Pacific Ocean. We saw whales from our oceanfront patio everyday we were here and we stayed a week. The personal accommodations were outstanding. The coffee station was one of our favorite items in the morning along with watching the whales. Every detail was taken care of and we had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing time at this abode. When we come back to Oregon, we will definitely make this one of our regular stops again and again.”

Wonderful week!

We highly recommend this property. For starters, you are on a bluff, literally within feet of the Pacific ocean. At high tide, waves crash up to window level. Even in stormy weather it is enjoyable to watch the activity out the large picture window. The home is unbelievably well equipped - no need to bring your ice cream maker (and flavors) or any pots & pans - everything is there. 3 TVs with all channels should make everyone happy. Delle Bay/ Lincoln City/ Newport all have the coastal vibe to keep you busy should you decide to venture out. Joni is the perfect hostess, quickly available if you have any questions. We travel a lot, and this properly is equal to or exceeds any other that we have stayed.”

Ok this place is absolutely perfect

You never really know what you're going to get until you see it with your own eyes. This place is an absolute gem. Depoe Bay is somewhere I hadn't heard of before. We flew into Eugene, rented a car through Turo, and drove a little under 2 hours to this property. It's a condo unit that faces the water. I think it's the best one too. It has a back patio which walks right onto a short grassy area, about 10-15 yards, and then the rocky shore. The waves CRASH on the rocks. So beautiful. There are large windows in the the living room facing the ocean. Also the master bedroom has a sliding glass door and vertical window facing the water. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to cook. Dungeness crabs are a big thing in this region so if you do pick some up, they have shell crackers and the tiny forks. Best Dungeness I've had btw. And the silverware is nicer than what you would typically see. You can tell the owners have good taste and are willing to spend extra on corners that others might cut. Joni is by the way a joy to work with. She has made the whole visit so easy. Great recommendations all around. I hope to be able to return soon. ”
