As you enter the light-filled living area, your eyes will be drawn to the view and the beautiful ‘open air’ living space. Retractable glass doors enclose the air-conditioned living-dining-kitchen area. An artisan parota wood dining table for 8, and a comfortable living area with an L-shaped sofa and armchair complete the space.

Open the retractable glass doors and you will experience the full beauty of this home….the lines of inside/outside living are blurred and you can while away the hours watching the light change, the waves washing up on Playa La Ropa, and the wild variety of birds that also call this lush hillside home.

The spacious indoor/outdoor terrace with a private plunge pool and lounge chairs offers expansive views of the beach and bay. Enjoy your morning coffee on the peaceful terrace, nestled into the lush green hillside.

The luxury kitchen is well stocked with an espresso/cappuccino machine for your morning latte, and a juicer in case you prefer to start your day with a freshly pressed fruit or vegetable juice. The kitchen is brimming with essentials such as salt, pepper, good quality olive oil, and, of course, a blender for smoothies and a ‘lime press’ and shaker for margaritas. You'll find ample dishes and glassware for 8, as well as serving ware and cookware. High-quality appliances include a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster oven/air fryer, and a stackable washer/dryer . You’ll also find a filtered water tap in the kitchen and beautiful jugs in all bathrooms for drinking water.

Enjoy your music with a wireless Bose speaker. Connect to the high-speed internet and wifi throughout the apartment to send vacation pictures home …. because you’ll want to every night!

In the two luxurious master suites (both with access to the terrace and the view), you’ll find new luxury King size mattresses and linens. A flat-screen TV for streaming your favorite programs, a small safe, and ample closets and storage space in both rooms. Large rainfall showers, plush towels, bath robes, and raw marble countertops give the bathrooms a luxury spa feel.

The third bedroom offers two comfortable luxury twin beds (or can be made into a King) with plenty of closet space, and a private bathroom with another large rainfall shower (which can also be accessed from the hall). This room is intended for use as a children’s bedroom.

One mid-week cleaning is included in all weekly stays and daily cleaning is available for a nominal charge. Furthermore, we are happy to organize both concierge and chef service upon request.

Common Areas

Enjoy the ground-level infinity pool and terrace with a brand-new charcoal grill, shaded sitting area, chaise lounges, and umbrellas. Swim laps or have a siesta on a pool float.

The building does have an elevator for convenience and has been designed to be wheelchair accessible.

Location

Armadillo is located at the far end of Playa la Ropa, across the bay from Zihuatanejo town center which delivers a magical evening view of twinkling lights as you enjoy your late evening cocktail. The access road to Armadillo is still unpaved (with long term plans for paving). The walk to and from Playa la Ropa includes 76 steps down a charming cobblestone lane and along a 200ft unpaved road to the taxi stand and the entrance to La Ropa beach. A variety of restaurants and beach bars, live music, beach massage therapy gazebos, and water activities all await you on La Ropa. By taxi, you can be in downtown Zihuatanejo in less than 10 minutes. If you prefer a scenic beach walk and a bit of exercise, you can opt to walk to the end of Playa la Ropa and then tackle the invigorating hill next to hotel Casa Que Canta. From there you are a 15 minute walk to downtown Zihuatanejo.
