March 2020Great Island Location
We loved our family time at the Hale Honu Retreat. It is perfectly located close but not too close to Kono for food and activities yet not so close as to be overly busy. Close to beaches and has a great cove for snorkeling if Neptune is calm. ”

December 2014WOW
First, if you have never been to the "Big Island" .......go and when you do, stay here. It is the very best location on this island. Fantastic views, whales, waves, yellow tangs from the Lani and close to great snorkeling, body surfing and shopping. The restaurant strip, farmers market and the boat harbor are a short distance. The weather is the same every day, a tropical 72 at night and a tropical 83 for a high, sunshine and blue sky. Lots to see and do. We went out every morning and came home after dark every night. Bring your camera. We had breakfast everyday on the "Lani", (patio), even though there is a large open kitchen, dinning room, sitting room and living room. I have no complaints and I would stay here again. ”

Home was beautiful & extremely spacious - oceanfront view however no beach / swim access (certainly not an issue but something of which to be aware). Very centrally located to shopping, supermarkets, dining, etc ... ”
