Excellent!

We had an amazing week in Maui. This 2br unit was perfect for what we needed. We were 6 people total and this 2br is where our adult kids stayed and we also for a room at the hotel part also. Having the kitchen and family room in the 2br unit gave us plenty of room to spread out. The location is great with restaurants and shopping just a short walk away in Whaler’s Village. Also Lahaina is less than a 10 minute drive and we had a few dinners in that area and went to a Luau. The pool areas are great and the resort is very family friendly. Highly recommend and hope to go back someday!”

Amazing ocean views from 7th floor of 12 story building

Unit has a washer dryer, but it is not mentioned in the listing. This was a pleasant surprise. Great front view of the ocean and swimming pool area. Weather has been fantastic this week. This is a big unit with 3 TVs and full kitchen. Easy check in and room was ready by 1pm. Valerie at front desk was super friendly and Clarito who works in Public area for Hyatt gave us a free large inflatable that a prior guest had discarded. It was a large inflatable avocado. Too funny. Love this Hyatt Vacation Club resort. ”

Such a wonderful place

We really loved this property, especially for families. We travelled with our two children ages 2 and 10. The pool was a haven for both of them - waterslides, waterfalls, and an entire kiddie water play area next door at the Hyatt which is good for the 5-and-under crowd (you have access to all Hyatt resort facilities). We didn’t spend time at the adult pool but it looked lovely. We are used to 5-star resorts like four seasons and fairmont, so I was a bit hesitant about this, but it was actually MORE fun for the kids. Sometimes those high-end, tasteful resorts can be a little boring for kids. This resort was nice for adults too. The villa was lovely and the view was incredible. Loved all the space inside the villa and the lanai was so spacious. A storm took away a lot of the sand on the beach in front of the hotel. There is still a small beach and decent snorkeling (we saw 3 sea turtles when snorkeling in front of the hotel). But we got in the car and went to other beaches (Kapalua bay was super great all around and the snorkeling there was unbelievable). We took a surf lesson at a surf school 20 minutes away that was recommended by the concierge and it was great Rivers to the Sea). Our best meals were at Ulu (dinner) and Plantation house (brunch) and Leoda’s pies (lunch and to-go pies). We loved the walkability of this resort - you can walk to great restaurants and shops at whalers cove. I would DEFINITELY book this property again if more dates become available. ”

Nice resort

It was quiet in our days, which we definitely appreciated. The service is good, the food is ok, just what you’d usually expect from a hotel. We mostly spent our time at the kids pool at the neighboring Hyatt regency, and my kids enjoyed it very much, great place!”

Will be great once renovation is complete

The Hyatt Vacation Club has potential to be a great property. They have resurfaced their pool and it will be beautiful when it opens. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was very spacious and each room has a beach view which was very nice. We were a bit frustrated over the communication of the renovations- the pool was completely closed which may have been in the listing but the alternative pool was also partially under repairs as well which we weren't told about. However once the renovations are complete I would return. Great location in Kaanapali. ”

Fun and relaxation on Ka’anapali Beach

My husband, daughter and I had a marvelous time in Maui. The Ka’anapali property was clean and spacious. The people at the resort were very friendly and helpful. Though the pool was closed for most our time there, the cabanas near the beach and the neighboring pool gave ample swimming options. We would definitely go back again. ”

Amazing

Exceptional customer service. Great 2 bedroom ocean view. Comfortable hide-a-bed that anyone could sleep on. Great amenities. Walking distance from great restaurants and Whalers Village shopping. The one and only downfall is the beach directly in front of the hotel is small and rocky. You can walk a short distance to better beach. The pool area and giant green space was enough to keep us from needing the beach. Tiki hut had great food and drinks. Definitely would stay again. Stayed with 4 kids ages 7-13 and husband. We were all very happy. ”
