Ark on Lake Lanier
One of Atlanta's top designers created a 5-star luxurious experience with this incredible multi-million dollar property! The stunning home is 12,000 sq ft and includes three cabins and a pool house. This is the perfect location for large gatherings, family reunions, and special occasions!
With 14 Bedrooms, the property sleeps 42-45 with beds. Enjoy the 16 person movie theater, pool, full-size volleyball court, tetherball, all while overlooking beautiful Lake Lanier on our double dock with a party deck on top!
The main house has ten bedrooms and nine full baths. The main floor has two kitchens. One is a professional kitchen for the chef in the family, while the other services a guest suite. The great room overlooks the lake, has a large flat screen tv, and a pool/ping pong table. The dining room table seats 12 comfortably and can easily add another table and chairs. There are additional tables and chairs to seat up to 36 on the screened porch.
There are 2 BR and three full baths on this floor. There is a large 50 x 50 screened porch that overlooks the lake and pool area that is great for groups. We have 4 round tables and 36 chairs available to use in this space for dining or group gatherings.
The second den connects to a covered porch. Steps away is a 6 foot wide stone fire pit overlooking the pool and lake. It burns real wood but has a gas starter for convenience. The basement has 2 BR and a Full Bath. One room has two twin beds, and the other has a king bed.
Upstairs you will find a 16 seat professional home theater with a 110' movie screen. There are 6 BR/4 BA upstairs, including a newly added master suite with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and three 6 foot windows overlooking the beautiful backyard and lake. The other master suite is brand new and has four built-in bunks in the room beside it. The main laundry room is upstairs, but there are two other ones on the property.
There are three cabins, each having a separate entry, den, small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Cabin 1 is steps from the main house, connected to the garage, and has 2 BR, 1 BA. It has a queen bed and four built-in bunk beds. Cabin 2 is 1 BR with a queen bed and 1 BA. Cabin 3 is one large BR with five twin beds, one queen bed, and a pull-out sofa downstairs, along with 1BA.
The Poolhouse is screened in and has a full-size fridge, microwave, full-size bath, and two outdoor showers. It is steps away from the green egg grill on the patio. The back yard and lake views are seen from most rooms, and the back yard is flat for the kids to play. There are three main outdoor decks to relax in, and each one has plenty of ceiling fans to keep you cool in the summer. We are located in a quiet cove and surrounded by 15 acres of corps-protected land, so it is very quiet. Enjoy fishing off the double-deck party dock, rent jet skis, pontoon boat, or ski boat at the nearby marina. We have two jet ski platforms and a place to tie your boat up.
Lake, pool, hot tub, home theater, pool table, lodge setting...this is the place to host your family reunion or group get-together. Gather as a group or break away into small conversations in our many sitting areas and outdoor seating.
Please note: We are located in a residential neighborhood with neighbors nearby. This is not the place for loud parties or events.

If you are looking for a great home to have family and friends join you....this home is it! Host was fantastic! The home is amazing with lots of room for everyone. Amenities are all right there for you to enjoy. Highly recommend this home to our members! ”
We just stayed at the Ark for a second time and it was even better this time around. The property is amazing and a truly one of a kind lake compound. The property has every single amenity that you could ask for and it's large enough for just about any group size. Jeff, the owner is gracious, helpful, and truly wants you to have a great time at his property. I highly recommend the Ark for a trip to Lake Lanier! ”
The house and grounds are even better than the pictures! Jeff (owner) and his wife have thought of everything. The decor is beautiful and every little detail is perfect. This estate is exquisite and immaculately clean. If you enjoy the finer things in life, you will NOT be disappointed with your stay here. I've stayed in five star resorts and many vacation rental homes, and the Ark is in my top 2! There is ample room for large families/groups. Everyone can have their own space and yet there are numerous common areas to gather and socialize. The theatre room, kitchen island, large dining table, living room, screened porch, and outdoor living areas were our favorite places to congregate. The nights were cold when we visited, which provided great weather for gathering around the large fire pit and soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Everyone enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen and outside on the grill. There are two refrigerators and freezers for stocking up. We ended up only going out to eat one time because I couldn't imagine any setting that would be better than the Ark for a meal. There are views from every room! If you don't feel like cooking, you can easily hire a caterer or have food delivered. I must mention the master suite. It's luxurious and romantic with plush linens, a fireplace, remote control window treatments, a steam shower, a jacuzzi tub, large closet, a TV, tons of natural light, and gorgeous views. It provided a great escape for this busy mom. Of course, I finally caved and did let my daughters in to try the steam shower and the big bath tub. All of the other bedrooms, bathrooms, apartments, and suites were impressive, as well. Everyone in our group said the beds were comfortable, and they were extremely pleased with their accommodations. The house is so comfortable and filled with so many activity choices, that you never have to leave during your stay. However, this part of Georgia is pretty amazing! Atlanta is a short drive away if you want to explore the big city. Gainesville is the closest town and has everything you need - restaurants, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, movie theatre, mall, golf course, etc. If you love nature, like our family does, you will have endless options. Our favorite thing to do is hike in the mountains, and we found fabulous hikes within 30 minutes to an hour of the house. I highly recommend exploring the mountains, forests, streams, and area waterfalls. If you aren't able to hike, take a scenic drive and visit some of the wineries and boutiques in the surrounding towns. My husband loves to fish and enjoyed fishing from the private boat dock and from one of the provided kayaks. He caught several large mouth bass. I kayaked with 2 of my daughters over to the nearby island. Life jackets were provided, so we felt safe and enjoyed the lake scenery, ducks, and geese. All of our children, ages 10-18, enjoyed the in-ground trampoline, pool, hot, tub, outdoor games, Nintendo Wii and numerous board games (any and every game imaginable). They also brought their hammocks and were able to unplug and enjoy quite a few books while lounging throughout our stay. I cannot end this review without thanking Jeff and his family for their gracious hospitality. They made sure that we had everything we needed and were available for questions anytime. ”
