Description

Glencraig

Nethy Bridge is a small village in Strathspey in the Highland council area of Scotland. This small town is one of the most sought-after locations in the Cairngorms. It is a quiet, charming village just 12 miles from Aviemore, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and at the head of the Speyside Way.

The area offers a wide range of local shops, restaurants and bars. Outdoor activities such as mountain and quad biking, climbing and hill walking. Water sports are also quite popular due to the excellent location nearby Loch Insh, Loch Morlich and the River Spey.
Beautiful Natural Wildlife Parks surround this area, such as the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie, the Landmark Forest Adventure Park or the RSPB Reserve nearby Loch Garten.

Glencraig is a contemporary house nestled in an acre of woodland garden close to the River Nethy. It has five bedrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, lounge, games room, two bathrooms, further WC and utility room/drying room.

The kitchen and lounge have doors leading to the patio - perfect for BBQs, watching the red squirrels and birds or sitting out in the evening warmed by the brazier. The games room, with its table tennis table, Sky TV, DVD player and great games, toys and books for all ages, will keep everyone occupied whatever the weather.

The property sleeps ten comfortably, with two pull-out beds in the games room if required and a travel cot and high chair. Children will love exploring the numerous trees, playing ball games on the grass, finding the homemade den and hiding in the little wooden playhouse. There are extensive walks and off-road cycle tracks right from the door, and the village shop and butcher are only a 10min walk along the river.

Lovely!

We only stayed for a few nights, but the house was perfect for what we needed. Sits in a quaint little town in the highlands and perfect as a base if you're looking to explore Glencoe and the Highlands!”
