Wonderful Place!

I hosted a group of women for a writing retreat and the property was perfect for us. We enjoyed making all our meals in the well equipped kitchen, the dining table provided an intimate space and the bedrooms/bathrooms were all great. It's a very peaceful location (though the train does pass nearby on occasion) along the river and we all enjoyed walking the property and awesome views. Allen was very kind working with me to reschedule our dates, and he always replied quickly to my emails. Highly recommend! ”

Fantastic Property

The home itself is fantastic. Plenty of space and a fully stocked kitchen. We used the screened in porch a lot when relaxing. You can fish right outside the house on the river or walk around and explore the property. This was one of our favorite TH stays we've had.”

Lucky Duck Ranch

We loved our week at Lucky Duck Ranch, an unusual property set among ranches along the Yellowstone River. Host Allen Penn provided great advice and was quick to resolve any problem. Yellowstone Park is about an hour away and easily accessible. You'll do a lot of driving at 85mph to get places in Montana but well worth it to get to know this exciting part of our country.”

Beautiful Place Surrounded by Mountains

We loved the location, far enough away but central for many day trips. Home and property are wonderful, clean and comfortable, views are incredible. We loved the Yellowstone River out your front door. Did some fishing, caught a couple, but river current was strong. Visited Bozeman, Big Sky, Red Lodge, Crazy Mountains and Natural Falls, last two had easy to access waterfalls. Cooked at the house and tried a couple nice places in nearby Big Timber. Thanks to our host, Allen, easy to work with and communicated well.”

Relaxing Stay

We loved our stay at the Lucky Duck Ranch! The house is immaculate, cozy, well styled, and new. The bed was so comfy we've attempted to recreate it at home. Our dog enjoyed watching for birds and chewing sticks on the back porch. The property is secluded and on the river which was nice for taking walks. We brought things to fish but didn't end up attempting it. We enjoyed driving through Big Timber to check out the shops the host recommended and had a fun night exploring Bozeman, which was about an hour away.”

Wonderful Stay in the Snow over Thanksgiving!

Our family of 5 enjoyed a week at Lucky Duck Ranch. We stayed over Thanksgiving week and we enjoyed about 6 inches of snowfall. The home is beautifully decorated, well insulated, and equipped with all you need. Allen was helpful to answer our questions in advance and provide lots of details on things to do in the surrounding area. The home is in a beautiful location and we saw wildlife along the river and enjoyed walking all over the property. We would definitely stay again at this wonderful home!”

We so enjoyed our stay on at the Lucky Duck Ranch. It was amazing to be in this beautiful natural setting, with the Yellow Stone River running through the property. This is the perfect fly fisherman's paradise or the perfect getaway for solitude. We also enjoyed the neighboring town of Livingston and Bozeman, which have some great restaurants, but are a bit of a drive. Allen our host was warm and friendly and gave us some nice options for things to do. Montana is beautiful. ”
