Villa SuSti

Villa SuSti is an authentic wine farm in the middle of the Barbera wine area in a small village called Agliano Terme. The territory of Agliano develops in a dominant position between the valleys of the Nizza Monferrato and Tiglione rivers. Although the name has a Roman origin, the noble Allies suggests an ancient presence in this land, probably for a strategic interest, the date of the first mention back to the X century.
The addition of the word "Terme" is linked to the extensive sources of hyperthermal water.

The name of Villa SuSti comes from the Holmboe Thorsen family and combines SUSanne & STig. The family runs Villa SuSti as a vineyard and an exclusive property.

The vineyard and house were purchased in 2008 and have since undergone a significant renovation from an environmental and aesthetic perspective. The family's goal has been to produce Barbera D'Asti of the highest quality from the beginning.

All vines were replanted in 2010 with the best possible quality new canes. Production has been inspired by local producers, such as Spinetta, Pavia and wine friends of the family, Malvira, Carossa, Corregia, and Conterno Fantina. In addition, we have an oenologist on staff, and the entire family is Sommelier trained.

This property's rustic and elegant decoration keeps intact the character and ambience of the surrounding landscape and is a marvellous example of traditional architecture.
