April 2024Nice stay in a beautiful (and unspoiled) area!
The guest apartment attached to this beautiful villa at the top of the Algarve was spotless, exactly as shown in the photos. The owners were lovely, offering a nice variety of activities in the area and making us feel at home. Great walks, charming little villages, old castles and fortresses, markets with fresh food and good wine! The landscapes are breathtaking. I recommend a few day trips to the Algarve's wonderful natural coastline. The roads are quite steep, but it is well worth driving 30-45 minutes up and down. The landscapes and temperatures change dramatically. My favorite spot was the wild region of Carrapateira. But if you prefer something more lively, don't miss the gorgeous city of Lagos!”

March 2024Beautiful home with excellent hosts
Spectacular views of the mountains, Lagos, Portimão and the sea. Hiking literally out the front door. The guest guide suggested several excellent restaurants that we enjoyed and our hosts were perfectly accommodating. Bed and furniture was comfortable and the kitchen has what you need. Cleaning was immaculate. Thanks so much guys. ”

March 2024Beautiful Site, Flat Very Cold, Amenities not Free
Stayed here with my sister in mid-March, 2024. Gorgeous location to be sure, but very hard to find as did not receive proper directions until after-the-fact (this was an innocent mistake on host’s part, who had sent the area guidelines twice instead). Driving in this area not for the faint of heart, roads can be extremely steep. Property was sweet, stylish, but very cold. Two hardwired electric heaters going full strength could not warm the flat above 16C on average. A third, portable heater performed better, but could not warm both the main space and the bedroom at the same time. A note to future visitors, the portable heater is from the UK, so you will need to have a Portuguese outlet adapter that also adapts to UK plug. Site lists both hot tub and sauna as amenities, but we learned from host after-the-fact that only a single, free use was available to us, subsequent uses incurring a charge to cover heating costs. This appears to contradict Third Home policy, as confirmed by Third Home staff. We ended up leaving after just two days, unable to get warm, frustrated. ”
