October 2024Wonderful family legacy trip!
Our family had an incredible stay at Stella Del Monte! The home is even more beautiful and expansive than it seems in photos and the trulli bedroom is like staying in a fairy tale castle. Our family of 10 gathered with 3 generations to celebrate my father-in-law's 80th birthday. There's an elevator to assist with luggage up to the second floor. The SMEG cappucino maker was a hit every morning and the pool was refreshing even in October. We enjoyed the use of the bikes to ride around the countryside amongst the olive trees. A couple of notes: this house has many family heirlooms and antiques so while beautiful and unique, I wouldn't recommend it for small children. You also need to bring all of your own toiletries (soap, shampoo, tp, paper towels, etc) - not a big deal but just good to know. There's a grocery store 5 minutes away. We are so thankful for our special time in this wonderful property! Mahalo Elisa!”

May 2024Grazie Mille!!
Grazie Mille !! Our recent stay at Stella was simply amazing. This home is recently constructed and incorporates the beauty of a traditional Truili home of Puglia with all the comforts and convenience of the modern world The aesthetic is fresh and modern but also warm and comfortable. The grounds are also beautiful, set among an ancient olive trees with a luxurious pool and patio adjacent to kitchen and dining room. Perfect for families or group of friends there are two separate living areas and bedrooms are all en-suite with modern top of the line fixtures The house is conveniently located just a short distance from the lovely old hilltop town of Cisternino (visited by in Stanley Tucci in his series Searching for Italy ) and is also close proximity to many popular destinations including Alberobello, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Polignano and Mare, Matera and Lecce. All these are easy day trips from the home and you can return to enjoy a relaxing evening at home or a quick trip into Cisternino for dinner at one of the many great restaurants. Easily accessible from Bari airport Brindisi via a major highway If you have been reading and hearing about Puglia lately, this is the perfect place to satisfy your curiosity. Grazie Mille to our host Elisa who provided plenty of advice and recommendations in advance of our trip and was responsive to all of our needs and questions upon arrival. A 5 Star experience from beginning to end ! ”
