Great Family Vacation

We had a great family trip to Destin FL staying at The Emerald Grande!! So many amenities with the Harbor Walk Village so easy to walk and enjoy!! We stayed in the 4BR suite with 7 and there was plenty of room for everyone!! The only drawback we had was the limited pool space for such a large resort!! With all of the other attractions available with just steps away, it didn’t impact our time there too much!! All of the resort staff was so friendly and accommodating in every way!!! I will definitely go back in the off season to compare the experience!!!”

Awesome Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful ThirdHome 4BR condo. The view was incredible, especially of the fireworks displays and there were lots of things to do with the kids and grandkids within walking distance. Highly recommended! ”

Great Golfing Week staying at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk

HarborWalk Marginal

Very busy place. The Resort Could use some updating. The Balcony was a nice large area for the 4 bedroom. But the Noise from the Restaurants and Marina was constant. The Shuttle to the beach was a nice feature but the beach area was marginal compared to what Destin has to offer. We drove to other areas on the beach after the first day. Will not return. ”

Fun Environment

Nice building. Not a fan of the "beach". The boat ride to it was nice but no food and no bathrooms make it a "no go". The unit was "o.k" but no supplies as you would normally find in other Third Home rentals. This was on a scale of 1 - 10 a 7. Not bad but definitely not the best. Just sayin. ”

Beautiful View

The condo was great and comfortable. This location is perfect for people with children who want restaurants and activities downstairs, a pool on site, and the beach a shuttle boat ride away. It was nice and more quiet before Memorial Day.”

Great view and amenities

You overlook the Destin Harbor with a boardwalk. There are restaurants, shopping, music and so much more. The views from this unit is incredible. I can’t wait to return”

Destin Vacation

Had a very good time in Destin. The unit was very nice as was the resort. Plenty of space and everything we needed to have a great time. Weather this time of year is a little cooler so dint get to spend as much time in the water as we would have liked to. ”

Great Condo in Destin

The Emerald Grande was a great hotel and resort for our family to visit last summer. The condo was a big corner unit with four bedrooms which had great views from most rooms. The resort also has great amenties and some fun things to do within walking distance. The beach access is via a ferry which isn't hassle free with kids but it was still fun and the kids enjoyed the ferry. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Great Christmas week

Had a great Christmas week at Emerald Grand. We stayed in a second floor southeast facing unit. The second floor is equivalent to about 4th or 5th floor on ocean side so views and people watching were excellent. The condo was spacious and comfortable and the wrap around balcony fantastic. We used the beach shuttle and had a great day at the beach even in December. Water is clear and beach is white sugar sand. There was even a kid swimming in the ocean without a wetsuit. We saw the magic show in the small theater on the property and it was great. The Boathouse restaurant at the east end of the Harborwalk has the best oysters and gumbo in town. Margaritaville across from the hotel was open Christmas afternoon. We used the outdoor heated pool and small hot tub. The property is similar to a Marriott timeshare. The bedding is comfortable and the kitchen very sparsely equipped with a dishwasher that doesn't really get the dishes clean. Our microwave turntable didn't rotate and I mentioned it to maintenance and they immediately came and replaced the built in microwave. Would love to come back in busy season and rent a pontoon boat to go to Crab Island which is a sandbar just on the other side of the causeway.”

Great location for bars and shops, not so much for the beach

This is a perfect location for bars and restaurants but not so much for direct beach access. They have a private beach but only accessible by shuttle with a small restroom on board. There is a $30 per day housekeeping charge for the week, regardless of how long you stay. Housekeeping quality was definitely not worth the daily fee. The pool and spa areas were very nice.”

A Gem in the Florida panhandle

We had a wonderful stay. Gulf view condo - heated pool - free parking Great for young families, activities galore! A good selection of nearby restaurants as well. Be sure to spend time on Crystal Beach near the Crab Trap restaurant 7 miles down the road. Amazing beach! Chair and Umbrella rentals available . ”

Great Stay!

The Emerald Grande is a beautiful facility located at HarborWalk Village in Destin, FL. Our week long stay was very enjoyable in the spacious 4 bedroom, 4 bath corner condo. The view was beautiful overlooking the bay and fun to watch the boats come and go throughout the day from our covered porch. Every employee was very gracious, kind and accommodating the entire week. It was nice having so many activities available in and around The Emerald Grande that included the HarborWalk, beautiful pool, spa, movies, concerts and restaurants. The Emerald Grande is located on the bay and not the ocean. However, they make it very easy to get to the beach via boat. A beach towel service is also provided next to the boat making it easy to pick up and return the towels. The HarborWalk village hosts a parade twice a week and concert once during the week. It is very entertaining and fun to watch from your room, however, the concert was right below our room and played a little late one night. It was not a problem for us, but might be for those that like to turn in early. ”

Great location on boardwalk

The condo is was spacious and comfortable with a great corner view of the harbor. It's located on the boardwalk so convenient for dining, shopping, nightly events, etc. It was a perfect location for a multi family vacation since we could go our separate ways if we wanted. It's important to know that it is on the harbor and not the beach so you have to take a boat shuttle (very short walk from condo) to their private beach. The only complaint we had was the daily housekeeping was not that great or reliable but since we were not charged extra for it so it, we didn't mind. ”

Nice location, not on the beach

The accommodations were great, with bars, shops and restaurants right below the property, as well as across the street and a short walk or drive away. The only drawback was having to take a boat to the private beach area or driving to the public beach, however, this did not greatly detract from our stay.”

Wonderful!

It was wonderful! Great location, right on the water with restaurants within walking distance - great views from our room on the 9th floor overlooking the gulf. Great fitness center, and an indoor pool for grandkids - we will definitely go back! it is a condominium that is set up like a hotel very nice - Frank and Marti Buck”

Location, Service, Access

If you are planning to enjoy Destin, FL, it would be hard to beat this location as it is directly on the beach and the ever popular HarborWalk. The daily light maid service that included replenishing of dish soap, paper towel, toilet paper, and exchange of towels as well as bed making and trash removal was timely and helpful. The maid changes out the sheets mid way through your week. Friday check-in is crazy with parking and people. However, the parking pass, friendly service and all the amenities quickly help you settle into a quality facility with free beach boat shuttle all day every day and free fresh towels at the pool and beach along with two helpers who set out chairs and umbrellas on the beach as you arrive. There is moderate nightlife, pricey restaurants, a magic show, and easy access to underpin boat and jet ski rentals right out the lobby level. Thursday night fireworks in the summer as well as Tuesday Mardi Gras and Saturday free concert are nice added touches. If you want part relaxation and plenty of activity, this is the place for you, HOT Destin, FL.”

Had a very enjoyable time taking in the sights and activities offered up at Emerald Grande. Good location allows you to park the car and utilize the many available services right at your door step. Beautiful vista's of the gulf water from this location, adequate amenities and a very heavily traveled location. Location is not on the beach but available by a short boat ride offered by the property. Overall a pleasant stay.”

Paradise for families!

My daughter and I just returned from an amazing visit at the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village. We were contacted prior to arrival and given several recommendations of fun things to do while we visited. The entry to the Emerald Grande is gorgeous and had been completely decorated for the holidays. Our 4 bedroom unit was immaculate and offered lots of privacy due to a great layout and one amazing view! We were contacted by the concierge who offered lots off additional guidance to maximize our stay. We loved the pool outdoor pool with the gradual entry, plentiful outdoor chairs, and easy access to the restaurant. The entire staff was welcoming, professional and positive. We visited the area while it is considered "off season" which was delightful! We never waited to be seated at a restaurant, we booked several boat experiences without delay and enjoyed the breathtaking beaches with a few other visitors in town for Thanksgiving. The temperatures were cooler, but we will take long sleeve shirts over crowded tourist areas any day! We can't thank the staff of the Emerald Grande enough for making our visit one to remember. Destin and the surrounding areas are gorgeous to explore and perfect for a family visit! ”
