Casa Santos is a modern, light and plant-filled sanctuary merging indoor and outdoor spaces. Giant expanses of glass allow two trees and walls full of vines to grow inside! Furnished with a combo of modern and antique furniture accented by Mexican handicrafts, it is designed so that every room is comfortable.

Our location is ideal - an almost flat fifteen-minute walk to the central market and Jardin or a five-minute walk to La Fabrica or a 5 star hotel.

A fifteen minute walk to El Jardin takes you past fabulously picturesque immediate neighbors --- the creek , the hacienda, the historic church, the old stone amphitheater and the granary. Right across the creek from the house is La Fabrica de La Aurora, an old textile mill recently converted to galleries, shops and restaurants. It is rated #4 on Trip Advisor's list of San Miguel's top attractions and is a very fun place to visit. Walk four blocks in the other direction and you'll be in the bustling central market, with its colorful wares, flowers and food. Just around the corner is the newly opened Five-Star Live Aqua Hotel.

When you enter the front door of Casa Santos, soaring 30" tall glass ceilings and banks of glass doors drench the house in sunlight. The downstairs has a living area and dining room. There is also a tv room/office with Wifi. The kitchen features an extra wide counter with bar stools, a dishwasher, full-size frig and gas stove. The kitchen is fully equipped with ample amounts of everything you'd need to cook pretty much anything you want ... except you'll probably want to eat out most of the time, taking advantage of the almost 300 restaurants in San Miguel. We also have a water purifier for the whole house.

Walk through the back and you'll be in the walled garden, with a plunge pool (more for looks than swimming), concrete couch and dining table. Hummingbirds drink from the tree almost all day long, while flowering vines drape over the walls.
Upstairs are two light-filled bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a king that can be converted to two twins. There is ample storage. Each bedroom has its own well-appointed, modern bathroom. This floor is also where the laundry room is located, with a dual washer and dryer.

A third story leads out to the two rooftop terraces. Choose the one you want depending on where the sun is shining. One terrace overlooks the garden and surrounding mountains, while the other has two lounges for sunbathing or napping, plus a small table and chairs for cocktails.

One of the nicest features is the neighbors and the onsite 24/7 security. There is a parking space outside of the house, however, San Miguel de Allende is very walkable, and taxis and Uber are very inexpensive.

The in-town management company can assist with coordinating airport pick-ups and drop-offs, stock the refrigerator, coordinate florals and other services.
