April 2026A Piece of Heaven
What a beautiful home away from home! The setting was perfect! Views from back porch were gorgeous and relaxing. The home had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Wayne and Esther were very helpful and easy to reach and address any questions we had. They also provided some suggestions for exploring in the area. The drive to the house from the main road was exciting—switch back road but very well maintained—it did take exactly 20 minutes from main road to house. It is a beautiful drive but I wouldn’t suggest doing it for the first time in the dark. 😊 Bryson City is very close. They have an Ingles grocery store that is very nice. We enjoyed the hiking near Bryson City—up the mountain and long the river. Saw some beautiful water falls. We also visited Cherokee Indian Reservation—museum—very interesting. We also visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville—beautiful home and gardens. We stayed in a couple of days—sitting on the porch, playing games, walking the roads, meeting a very nice neighbor, and watching movies in the theatre room at night. Wayne and Esther had an extensive collection of DVDs. Thank you, Wayne and Esther, for sharing your lake home. We enjoyed it immensely!! Mike and Sharon”

March 2026Spring break vacation
Lovely home with lots of space and amenities. Our three granddaughters enjoyed spending time together with board games and drawing on the floating dock. The hot tub was also a treat. Location is isolated in beautiful mountains. Long winding road is a bit to drive to and from the home. Bryson City is a great town and the place to catch the train ride in the Smoky Mountains. Great get away especially when the water is warmer to be able to kayak and swim.”
