August 2026Fabulous Foldyard
We had the most amazing stay at Foldyard House celebrating my wife's special birthday. The house was magnificent and was perfect for our party. Foldyard was beautifully prepared for our arrival, with soft music playing in the background and mood lighting turned on to welcome us. When we walked through the door, our first word was "wow". It's truly a spectacular home. No expense has been spared on this home. It was so well equipped and once we had found our way around, it felt very much like home. On arrival it was beautifully clean, ample towels in all bedrooms and welcome chocolates on the pillows. We were spoilt! The owners placed their house in the hands of Andy and Jude who looked after us brilliantly. Their communication prior to arrival was first class. Foldyard recommended a few places to go and a few things to do. We followed up on "Two Jays Catering" who came in and cooked for us on two evenings, serving dinner at the huge table in the grand dining room. Food was great, service was great and they left the kitchen spotless. If you go to Foldyard, we can recommend them! I hope they get to see this review. Weather wasn't especially kind to us but we found plenty to do in the surrounding area. Id love to see what Foldyard house is like on a sunny day - maybe next time! Thank you to the owners and and property managers Andy and Jude who made this trip an unforgettable experience.”

August 2025Extraordinary amenities and location
Foldyard was completely suitable for us and UK family members who joined us, and had all the amenities we could ask for. We enjoyed exploring the area, which was new to all of us - we particularly enjoyed the Cliff walking and bird watching, the fresh catches along the coast, and the market town of Beverley. The countryside undergoing harvesting was delightful. We wish we had taken advantage of one of the top horse race meetings on in the area. We chose to arrive in York by train and rent a car which worked well. Many thanks for another outstanding ThirdHome visit, Susan & David”
