RECEPTIONS: It boasts 5 large reception rooms including the (1) kitchen suite with 7 sets of french doors opening on to the large mature garden, (2) the family TV room which is 20ft x 30ft, (3) the study (4) the dining room and (5) the Sitting Room which can also be a 7th bedroom with a sofa bed.
BEDROOMS: 6 interior designed bedrooms with large beds and lots of character (many can be twin or king) and loads of light, including an amazing vaulted ceilinged master bedroom featuring two sofas and and 12ft high canopy super king bed along with a luxurious marble en suite with a polished roll top bath.
KITCHENS: It has a bespoke chef's kitchen (150cm double oven with 8 hobs) with cooking area and 3 sofa lounge area looking over the garden, plus an additional separate second kitchen / utility. It is one of the biggest and oldest private houses in Kennington(reputed to have the oldest door chain in Kennington) with some beautiful original features and a layout where you can all group together or have your own space depending on our your needs.

FACILITIES: The house has a multi room audio system so you can pipe music round the house, also you can stream worldwide radio and music, as well as having a partners desk in the study, super fast wifi network and numerous TVs.
OUTSIDE: We are set back off the road with a front garden with mature trees and are also are lucky enough to have a huge secret triangular garden at the rear of the house (74ft x 150ft) with mature trees, rambling climbers and a croquet lawn, not to mention outdoor furniture and a wisteria clad archway. You can even hear Big Ben chime in the garden whilst the house itself shields street noise.
THE AREA: We love the area too - The neighbourhood is one of London's best kept secrets and they regularly shoot films on Georgian square behind us. Too central to be a suburb it is a real authentic old part of central London littered with history, and where so much of it got destroyed in WWII - our house luckily survived. Kennington is in a bubble of land on the south side of the River Thames so in 5-20mins on foot you can get to so many places. We are are just 15 mins walk to Westminster, Tate Britain, and 25 mins walk National Galleries, Covent Garden, South Bank, and Theatreland - plus there's the West End with cafes, bars, clubs and restaurants accessible by foot or taxi. We are even right next to (1min walk) to the Imperial War Museum and park. The bus network virtually goes everywhere form the Imperial war Museum and Lambeth North Tube or Waterloo are the nearest underground stations.

Unbelievably amazing stay!
The minute you walk through the door you cannot believe how amazing is this house. Firstly it is huge for central London and has a unique history. It has been transformed by its owners into a warren of vast bedrooms, sitting rooms, top class bathrooms, the best kitchen for design and stocked with everything you need to cook and store food. All this leading to a garden with lawn and mature trees blocking out any neighbours. Quiet at night, comfortable beds. Walk to the south bank, and the river - amazing. food shop next door - and wood fired pizza. Also a huge thank you to Caroline who welcomed us and managed everything so perfectly and professionally and was totally charming and helpful. No hesitation in giving more than 5 stars! Thank you!! ”
We had an amazing stay at this wonderful home. It was clean and beautifully appointed and "huge". The position is excellent with buses right outside and the tube just a 7 minute walk.and even Westminster Bridge a 15 minutes walk. The owner was very helpful as was the house keeper which made this the perfect stay. ”

The garden is gorgeous as were the caretakers who met us at the property and explained all that we needed to know about the house and area. Lady C and Mark welcomed us and gave us a rundown on the key need-to-know things about this modern renovated mansion. It was spick and span and an absolute find. We were able to walk over Westminster Bridge to many of the main sites in London. What a pleasure. We had a dinner party for guests who came in to London and the fully equipped modern kitchen made it easy. We used five bedrooms so that meant some sharing of the three bathrooms. Get this if you can ! ”
Another exceptional stay in this stunning townhouse
This is our second visit to this wonderful home which is in a fantastic location within walking distance of much of the city. The spacious townhouse is simply stunning and is furnished and decorated to the very highest standards in keeping with the period in which it was built but with all modern conveniences. The large and very beautiful garden is a terrific bonus and gives the feeling of being in the country rather than in central London. I could write a book about how wonderful it is so all I can say is that if you ever get the chance to stay here do not hesitate for a second!”
We enjoyed this beautiful town house walking distance from many tube stations and the River Thames. A little shop is next door for anything you forget. The garden was an oasis of calm with a fox squirrels and neighbours cats coming to say hello. The house is a lovely place for grown ups to get together and cook and rest in the many sitting rooms and bedrooms. I would recommend it for large groups of friends as there is enough space to be quiet as well as party. The support network of staff there to deal with our queries were most helpful and friendly. ”
Great location near good restaurants and museums. Walk to Lambeth Palace and the Imperial War Museum. The house easily fits 12 although some rooms share bathrooms. Tranquil yard in the heart of London with a resident wild parrot! All the moderm conveniences in a fully renovated historic house.”
The house was a perfect fit for our traveling gang. We had 3 teens, a husband and wife duo, a couple of friends come and go during a business trip and it accommodated us all very comfortably. Location was central to everything we wanted to do and se. We crossed the city numerous times by uber or taxi and also used the owners recommends for local pubs and take away restaurants. All was delicious and perfect. I recommend a housekeeper to come during the stay, and the ones they provided were excellent and efficient. Cant wait to come back soon.”
