May 2026Just book it!!
We had a fabulous stay at a spectacular home! The Hosts put a lot of thought into every detail of their place and we were fortunate enough to enjoy it. The photos just do not do the place justice and the Hosts are so thorough that they send out a book prior to check-in which contains fantastic recommendations to enjoy during the stay. There’s absolutely nothing to fault—only high praises for the Host, place, location and town. The Host is extremely attentive and always responded almost immediately. Our family has enjoyed many a Airbnb and VRBOs around the world and this is hands down our favorite of all. If La Casita is available, snag it while you can because it won’t last long! ”

April 2026Stunning Apartment - Perfect Stay
Absolutely stunning apartment. Everything was perfect and the owners put so much thought into creating a cozy and beautiful space. The hosts are awesome, too, and we had a great time getting to know them over a glass of wine. My wife and I already want to go back! definitely recommend! ”

April 2026Just Wonderful!
What a beautiful and delightful little casita, perfect for a week’s couple getaway. Spacious and comfortable, fully equipped, nicely decorated. Good size kitchen, lovely master suite, huge walk in shower, daily weekday maid service. And pop up the stairs to your own private deck - a great place to take in the sunset and enjoy a glass of wine. Location is superb, quick walk down to the Basilica, old town, markets, many restaurants etc. Grocery shopping 15-20 walk away and inexpensive Uber back. Just wandering the streets and popping into churches, markets, cultural centers, coffee shops, courtyard or rooftop eateries can pass many a day. Be aware though the streets everywhere, including around the casita are steep and uneven with cobblestones and many places to twist an ankle if you don’t pay full attention - not ideal if you don’t have good balance or don’t walk well. And it requires a flight of stairs to get into unit. The hosts, who reside in a just spectacular main house attached to the casita were great in terms of communication, instructions, SMA tips and suggestions, and were ever so gracious and accommodating. If you get a chance to spend a week at La Casa de la Alegria, do it!! We’ll be back. ”
