What a special place. rooftop restaurants overlooking cathedrals. The town, the shops and the restaurants. We felt completely safe walking the streets at any hour. Airport transfers and Day trips with their suggested service were wonderful. The tour guide Daniel was amazing. Wine maker for the day at Tres Raices Vineyard and then a trip to Guanajuato. We can’t wait to return. ”

Casa Mia Sunshine was absolutely fabulous. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The location (which is across from Juarez Park) was perfect and a short walk to the City Center. The host and staff were amazing. Jessica went above and beyond in not only assisting us with Dining, Groceries, Tours, and Transportation, but was a true angel in helping us with a medical incident. Lupita and Antonio were also very helpful and made some of the best food and margaritas in all of San Miguel. This was my second stay at Casa Mia Sunshine and it will definitely not be my last.”

Five Star Location, Five Star House

Hardly know where to start! We traveled to San Miguel to see and experience the town - we’d heard so much about its history, beauty, architecture and art - but when we got to Casa Mia Sunshine we didn’t want to leave the house! What a place! The indoor/outdoor living space and fireplaces really captured us, and the decor is gorgeous: the rooms have a Mexican flavor without being heavy or dark. We loved the owners’ art collection. The art might be the aspect that truly gives Casa Mia Sunshine the feel of someone’s loved home rather than a rental property. The house has three spacious, bedrooms with bathrooms, that are separated and offer privacy. The furniture and beds are very comfortable and the two rooftop terraces were a favorite spot for Margaritas, guacamole and views. The location cannot be beat: across the cobblestone street is a lovely park, across the park and down two or three blocks (that boast some excellent shops and restaurants) is the town square with many more shops, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and sightseeing opportunities. No need for a car. Casa Mia Sunshine (and the guests) are cared for by Guadeloupe and Antonio, who also prepare top-notch Margaritas and guacamole, and who made two breakfasts and one dinner for us, which were excellent. We were in San Miguel for a week and just scratched the surface of the place. We plan to return - and would love to stay again in Casa Mia Sunshine.”

Gorgeous property

We enjoyed a fabulous week at this amazingly beautiful home. The furniture, bedding, home furnishings, overall design rises to meet and comfort you. This beautifully appointed home felt like a very luxurious place to come back to after our SMA adventures. We were 5 adults and the home also felt wonderfully spacious. The location is perfect - right on the park and a short walk to the main square. The incredible set up includes the staff. Antonio and Guadalupe looked after us very well and we loved having their home-cooking on our last 3 evenings at the house. Jessica was super responsive with any questions. She brought Vivianne, from her office, who helped us get a PCR test for one in our party who was flying on to Canada. We had brought Antigen Test Kits for the 4 of us returning to the US, but Vivianne was so great with her arrangements it might be easier to let them handle all the testing. Thanks Ernesto and Gena for a magical week at Casa Mia Sunshine. Third Home is very well represented here. ”

The Perfect Stay in San Miguel

Our stay at Casa Mia Sunshine was truly amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. The house was very well appointed and had everything you could want. It was such a treat to have Antonio and Lupe make our breakfast each morning. The Margaritas and Guacamole were the perfect afternoon treat. Jessica was also amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing less than perfect. The location of the house was convenient to everything. Juarez Park is literally across the street and the square was an easy 12 minute walk. Some of our favorite dining spots included Luna’s, Cinco’s and The Restaurant. We also enjoyed our salsa and taco cooking class through the Puravita Kitchen and our evening walking food tour. San Miguel is truly a magnificent gem and we can’t wait to return!!”

Outstanding

My daughter and I visited and felt very safe. The property is Absolutely gorgeous property. The hosts made recommendations of their favorite places and even offered a digital map to download of those places to our phones. They were super accommodating and always available for any questions. The location is right in the middle of San Miguel. You couldn’t ask for a better place to explore the town. The cook and housekeeper were so pleasant and always available for any request. We would love to return next year. ”

Magical

We could not have been more please with our stay in San Miguel! The house is perfectly situated on the corner of the Parque Juarez. Lupe & Antonia were there daily to tend to breakfast and the house. Jessica was also very helpful with reservations for dinners and excursions. Very comfortable home with all the amenities and perfect for couples. Can’t wait to go back:)”

Best location in San Miguel de Allende

This home is one of the best in all of San Miguel de Allende. Several reasons, first is the location. It is right on the park and walking distance to everything in San Miguel. Be sure and bring comfortable shoes as the streets are great to walk but are cobblestone. High heels do not work! Second, the home is authentic in architecture and style. Enjoy the rooftop decks overlooking the park and garden. Thirdly, the staff is AWESOME. Breakfast every morning Mexican style. Lastly, the owner/member is super helpful. Walk to eat Sunday brunch at the Rosewood. Try Aquila in town, great food. Also try Atrio, same owners as Aquila with great food and the best view in San Miguel. Don't miss out on Zandunga on Sunday afternoon. ”

Charming house by the park.

We had a great stay and it was a beautiful home. The stay was excellent and we enjoyed Casa Mia Sunshine Two things we noticed were that the internet speeds are less than 10 mbps. or watching streaming TV is difficult. The cable box is cool but the internet is too slow for that to work. Upgrading the internet speed is a easy fix. ”

The Best of San Miguel

This was my fifth trip to beautiful San Miguel. All other times, I have been a guest at other private homes. This is among the very top. Previous reviews have mentioned location, the wonderful breakfasts of Guadalupe and Antonio , and the evening dinner she prepared for us. Marguerita greetings on arrival. Casa Mia Sunshine in San Miguel de Allende

I had been to San Miguel previously & knew it was a city full of charm...... but Casa Mia Sunshine magnified my love of this quaint colonial Mexican town ! Everything that you might possibly want to do is within walking distance ! The casa is delightfully warm, handsome & well-appointed ! The staff were quite helpful & accomodating& made our stay wonderful.The owners, Gena & Ernesto, were extremely helpful before going ( phone calls, emails) , by adding information of good restaurants, shopping , excursions, etc. This was a fabulous experience at a perfect place ! I would love to book it again ! ”

Loved it! House- Gorgeous, and in classic San Miguel style. Location- Superb, Immediately adjacent to a gorgeous park, and within convenient walking distance of downtown and Rosewood. Staff- so nice, and made breakfast for us each morning. Town- Beautiful architecture, boutiques, world class food, oftentimes very inexpensive too. Rosewood's deck has great view of the city, and delicious cocktails and food. Also Sunday brunch should not be missed. We had a great time. Thanks so much!”

Super Location and Spectacular Host!

Wowza! Amazing city, great home, super location and spectacular Host/member. Our host, Ernie, went out of his way to make sure our trip was one for us all to remember. We had two great staff there, Guadalope and Antonio who made sure our home was perfect at all times. They assisted in lining up in home massages and transportation. The home could not be in a better location; on the park, close to all shops and 5 minute walk to the Rosewood. Sunday brunch at Rosewood was the best I have ever had and you must do the rooftop terrace for sunset and drinks. La Prada is a great Peruvian restaurant only 5 minute walk as well as The Restaurant. Also close is Matilda Hotel and 1810 restaurant and Hotel. The house is set up perfect for 3 couples and the courtyard offers a nice area for sitting or having drinks by the outdoor fireplace and sitting area. We loved this home! Great Location across from Park. With walking distant of everything. Rosewood Hotel Roof top for drinks. Quince by the Parroquia Was awesome food. La Cocina cooking school is awesome with Kris Rudolph. Owners very helpful with referring great transportation to and from airport. The cooks and cleaning people were superb! The Showers were awesome!”

There are not enough superlatives to describe Casa Mia Sunshine - A beautiful, peaceful, applicably appointed home next to a lovely park and a short walk to the Central Miguel Jardin. Ernie’s excellent staff are totally accommodating and made us feel elegantly pampered. We were also fortunate enough to have the local advice of Ernie’s associate, Natasha, who made sure our days and nights were filled with delightful adventures. She facilitated everything for us so all we had to do was relax and enjoy. And we did and can’t wait to do it again. ”

Casa Mia Sunshine was wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable. Great location next Benito Juarez park and a 10 minute walk to the historic centre. Lots of shops on the way to the centre. Art exhibits in the park on the weekend. We didn’t use the driver that the owner makes available because I had already booked and paid for another service. The maid and groundskeeper work weekdays from 9:30 to 1:30. They would have made breakfast for us but we are early risers and oft times were just leaving as they arrived. The maid did our laundry and some ironing when requested. We would have preferred to do it ourselves but I think she was there to keep an eye on things. They also washed the dishes but there wasn’t any dishwasher detergent available for us to use on the weekend when they weren’t there so we left the dishes for them to do on Monday. Neither of the staff spoke english. Tip requested by owner was 750 pesos per person per week. The house itself is as shown in the photos. The entrance is very misleading, a little door on the street but once inside it is magnificent. We spent most of our time outside on the courtyard terrace or on the rooftop terrace in the evenings. I read about the area and we had a list of things to do. There wasn’t any tourist information/maps at the house. We had to go to the tourist office downtown to find out about things. There were lots of cultural events, films to see as per listing in “que pasa". We enjoyed several restaurants in the city. Aperi (tasting menu was delightful) Maxi Luna rooftop terrace at the Rosewood Hotel - the sunset was beautiful! Hecho en Mexico Quince Sights Parish church of St. Michael archangel Botanical gardens Chapel of Jimmy Ray (funky) Atotonilco sanctuary and nearby gallery of folk art. Fabrica aurora Street Market Museum of San Miguel All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday in San Miguel de Allende. Denise”

This was a lovely home in a great location of San Miguel de Allende. The home itself is beautiful--new but with lots of architectural charm. It is across from the park--away from the noise of the town--but also an easy walk to town when you want to enjoy the restaurants and shops. San Miguel itself is a beautiful town with lots of ambience, great restaurants and bars, and fun shopping. It is an important site in Mexican history.”

Fantastic, Perfection

Everything about this property was perfection. The location could not have been better, with the location at the edge of the square. We were able to walk everywhere in San Miguel, an amazing little town with lots of delicious restaurants, music and art. There were 5 of us and the house was so lovely, elegant, comfortable. The owner Ernie was fantastic. He was in great communication with us before and during our trip. The housekeeper and driver Antonio were wonderful. We highly recommend this house and vacation and cannot say enough about it. We are grateful for the opportunity to have gone to Casa Mia Sunshine!”
