This property is perfectly situated near the beach and in a private area of The Cloister resort. Expertly decorated and maintained with fabulous amenities. The only thing better than the physical property is the responsiveness and service excellence of the on site team. If you have an opportunity to stay and only need 1BR you should book while available— we definitely would! ”

Beautiful Property

We loved our stay on Sea Island. The beach and resort are beautiful…weather in November was cool and sunny. We did a lot of long walks on the beach, had several dinners at the resort. Wonderful experience!”

February 2023

Our one bedroom unit in the Ocean Residences was lovely and included a full ocean view. February there was quiet--no crowded places and long stretches of empty beach. The Cloisters and everything it has to offer is top-notch. Being able to bring our dog along was an added bonus.”

Wonderful place for families

Our one-bedroom residence was huge! It was quite similar to our residence at the Ritz Carlton Club in St Thomas though with beautiful vaulted ceilings and screened in porches. We did not have a water view but it was good to face away from the sun. We knew it would be hot in July and it was definitely extremely humid. But having our own side of the beach and a lovely pool just for the residences was perfect. The beach club and restaurants were quite crowded with families, kids and a convention group so we were happy to stay put. There is so much for kids to do (bowling alley, bikes, water toys, etc) we will definitely be back with our grandchildren in the future. Husband golfed all three courses and we explored the restaurants on property (all good) as well as St Simons and Jekyll Island. ”

Sea Island

The Cloister is known Worldwide as a 5 Star resort and our stay reflected that level of service. We got lucky with good weather in January and had a great visit. A few minor issues were handled swiftly by staff. ”

Amenities, service and accommodations are truly unparalleled. There’s something so intimate and yet still grand about The Cloister. The Cloister's and Sea Island is incredible!

As expected this time of the year the weather was a little unpredictable but we thoroughly enjoyed our Cloister's Ocean The Residence and the entire experience at Sea Island is over the top. The resort is one of the best anywhere in the world and we can see it is constantly being upgraded where needed. the Staff and food experience is 5 Star throughout the entire Cloisters property and the Lodge/golf facilities. We would be very interested in returning other times of the year and at Christmas again. while the residence could accommodate 4 individuals it is better suited for a couple and perhaps a child or two. ”

One of the BEST!

This is one of the best Third Home places we have experienced. The homes were perfectly equipped and comfortable. There are so many amenities at the Cloister you cannot do everything in one week. The restaurants are outstanding. Golf courses are all great. Could go on but everything at Sea island and St Simons is great”

Fabulous 4th of July visit

The Cloister is one of our all time favorite places to visit and this residence was equally as exciting. This unit is huge with large rooms and tall ceilings. We brought bicycles and enjoyed biking the length of the island. The week of July 4th is especially fun if you have kids as there are many fun family events. We highly recommend this residence. ”

Incredible Week at The Cloister Ocean Residences!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Sea Island! This one bedroom residence was incredibly spacious for our family of 4. It truly felt like our Third Home and was well equipped and maintained. The screened in porches were perfect for afternoon relaxation and while the view was not of the ocean, it was a beautiful wooded view! The residence was a bit of a walk/bike ride from the Beach Club, but they provided a golf cart to shuttle us there and home anytime we asked and usually within a 5 minute time frame. The infinity pool exclusive to the Ocean Residences was just a short walk away and a nice quiet alternative to the Beach Club, as was the beach if you desired to have your chairs and umbrellas set up closer to the residence. (Yes, they will bring it to you by simply asking!) The customer service at every turn at this resort was top notch and made our stay over the top. We did not want to leave when our week was up. You will not regret an exchange to this beautiful resort! *Note that there is a sleeper sofa in the bedroom in addition to the living room, so it was nice to be able to leave the living room 'intact' to be used as such and have the sleeping arrangements be confined to the (incredibly oversized) bedroom. *It is not necessary to bring beach chairs/umbrellas, pool/beach towels as this is all provided at the Beach Club at no charge. *We did not pay for daily housekeeping services, however upon our arrival we were happily provided with extra towels and sheets so that we would not need to launder those items, as well as vacuum and Swiffer so we could keep on top of the sneaky sand that always finds it way back in to the house.”

Pampering Place

We own one of these residences and we love it so much we rented an extra one for a week. It's beautiful, peaceful and calm, on the beach. A true gem on Sea Island. Easy 8 minute walk to The Cloister Hotel and Spa/Tennis/Workout. ”

The condo is beautiful and a pleasure to be in. The service at The Cloisters is 6 star. We'd enjoyed the bars, the spa and golf. The infinity pool, beach view and beach access are fantastic. We can't wait to visit again.”

A relaxing getaway

My wife Nancy and I loved our stay at the Cloister Ocean Residence unit. Our week stay was during the February "shoulder season," which we anticipated would be "touch and go" with the weather in the Southeast. We were lucky and had a good stretch, which allowed us to enjoy the outdoors. The unit was tastefully decorated and very comfortable, Despite not having much of a view, it lent itself to a quiet and relaxing stay. We hadn't been to The Cloister since before its renovation and we came away understanding why it is a highly rated resort. The pool is lovely and just a short walk away, as is the beach, which we strolled in the morning and early evening. This one bedroom residence is ideal for a weeklong getaway. Peter Drake”

Impossible to find one thing to complain about! This resort is absolutely wonderful. Every staff member has a smile and a greeting for you from the time you pull up to the front door until the time you sadly have to leave. Very relaxing resort in a beautiful setting.”

Ocean Residence Not

My husband and I were very disappointed with the location of this residence. The description is misleading and we will not return. Although the residence itself is nice, there is no water view of ANY kind, beach is quite a walk away and there are no views of golf or the pool, either...just unmanicured trees. We tried to have 3rd Home contacted by member services to arrange to switch us to another location in the community, without success. With us trading in a 5 star unit and paying so much additional money on top to stay here, there should be a refund process when the experience is not up to par. ”
