A wonderful family vacation

Sea Island is just about the ideal place for a true family vacation. Lots of activities, great service, a wonderful beach and a spacious home in which to stay. What's not to like? I think we spent the most time at the huge, nicely heated pool (complete with a water slide) and walking the beach looking for wildlife and shells. .”

The Cloister

There are few resorts like the Cloister. As we drove into the gates the grounds were breathtaking followed by the bridge lined with angels for the Christmas season. As we approached the magnificent resort, we were greeted by name. We were then assisted to our residence by a gracious friendly person. Once inside the three bedroom condo, we were very pleased with the beauty and cleanliness. All three bedrooms had a small balcony with a view of the yard, dune and Atlantic Ocean. We took a walk on the beach and collected shells of all shapes and colors. We ate at The Georgian which was expensive but worth the experience. We ate at The Travola, Italian, and it was good. We ate at the Beach club in a separate building which was beautiful inside and had beautiful grounds. We drove about 10 minutes to The Lodge where two golf courses are located. The Lodge is also beautiful and more golf oriented. We had the opportunity for many things to do. Please look up and see under their website. We actually went to read books and relax. The condo could accommodate many guests, but we went along. We had an option for daily maid service, but we opted not to have it provided. It was expensive. We did have to pay $300 for cleaning upon departure which is mandatory. A washer and dryer are provided, but there was no laundry soap. Things again are expensive,but it is first class. Amazing place, will definitely return.

The condo was beautiful, and the bedrooms were huge... It says 12 guests, but you could easily and comfortably take 14 guests, if you are traveling with kids. The only thing I'd say about Sea Island, is that EVERY single activity is ala carte - the resort really gets you on the snorkel and wakeboard equipment, not to mention the crazy high rates for the horses and shooting. But, the resort is amazing, the staff great and so friendly, and the management of the condo is attentive and professional.”
