Beautiful Property

We had a lovely time at La Jolla Masterpiece. Larry is terrific to speak with and was a wonderful host and even welcomed us with a bottle of champagne. This property is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and is a perfect to getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It's near downtown La Jolla, about 15 minutes away from the cove and about 25-30 minutes from downtown San Diego. The main floor had 2 living areas as well as a bar that had seating and the kitchen also had a breakfast nook. We loved that the main floor also had a bedroom along with it's own bathroom. It worked well as a guest we had visit for one night just had knee surgery and couldn't walk up and down too many steps. This property is terrific for a big group as there is plenty of space to unwind but be mindful that there are a lot of steps. The property is on a hillside so the levels go down instead of up. On the second level, there is a pool table and a movie room along with the Master bedroom and 2 other guest bedrooms. One of the guest bedrooms also has it's own bathroom and there is even a sauna in the master bathroom. To reach the third level where the pool and jacuzzi are, you have to go out the 2nd floor balcony down a set of stairs outside of the home, but it was nice because if you wanted to just be down there and didn't want guests going through the home, there was access to go directly down to the pool area from the side of the house. There is also another kitchen area and bathroom in the room adjacent to the pool as well a a pull out sofa bed. Some of our most enjoyable meals in the surrounding area were breakfast at The Cottage and delicious cajun fish sandwiches for lunch at El Pescador where they have the best Cioppino you can buy. (They also have a fish market with a great selection in case you want to grill back at the house.) Downtown La Jolla in general just has a great selection of terrific restaurants from Mediterranean food, rotisserie as well as authentic Mexican food and for the most part, you can bring them to picnic beachside! Extraordinary week at the La Jolla Masterpiece

My family just returned from a wonderful week at the La Jolla Masterpiece. The home was absolutely beautiful and perfect for my family. After a day at the beach or visiting museums, we would return to the house for a relaxing swim, a BBQ, and a movie in the large theatre. The house is well configured and a pleasure to inhabit. The views from every floor are amazing. I worked from the office next to the master bedroom and found myself spending more time looking out the window than at the computer. I would definitely recommend this home!!!”

La Joya in La Jolla

This property has it all. Close to shops, restaurants, and the beaches of La Jolla & San Diego, this home offers a perfect place to call home. The multilevel layout worked very well for us as our family could choose to engage in conversation, or find a quiet place to read, watch a movie in the theater room, swim, or play billiards. We loved how, because it is nestled into the top of the canyon, the topography carries one's view straight to the magnificent ocean beyond and the breathtaking Pacific sunsets. We will definitely be back.”

Amazing house!

I had a group of 8 daughters and girlfriends accompany me on my first trip to southern California. We had a fabulous time! The house was spectacular! The kitchen is fully equipped and there are great grocery stores in the area. There were plenty of bathrooms for all. The master bath is very large and right out of a magazine. The views of the Pacific through the canyon were captivating. The owner has several computers available for use there, though we were able to use wi-fi to use our own laptops and Ipads. There is a tremendous theater room with large comfy viewing recliners. There is also a home gym and billiard room. It was chilly while we were there and we didn't get into the pool, but it was lovely, surrounded by glass firepits (?). The hot tub was at the end of the pool, so again, quite lovely, though we did have a problem at the end of the week with getting the water heated. The beds were very comfortable, but full or queen size so our older friends opted for 1 person/bedroom and 1 slept on the living room sofa. There is a fabulous king in the master. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area of San Diego and La Jolla. The owner could not be nicer and had a great binder with complete information about the house, who to call for any issues, recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. Our week came to an end all too quickly!”

This property is in a wonderful neighorbood, convenient to town and has everything you could possibly want and more. The hosts are equally lovely. Note that if you have mobility issues, this house has lots of stairs. Not a negative anyway, just a heads up! A big heads up! ”
