House Rules
This is a pre-war brownstone so there are some quirks. There is no thermostat, so you can only control the temp by cracking open the windows (in the Summer there is a air conditioner) and strategic use of the fan.
Moderate noise in the apartment is fine; keep big sounds to a minimum. People live full time in the adjacent apartments. Day time is pretty dead. Evenings are when neighbors are around. Remember to be good neighbors. Thank you!
As a general rule we don't talk in the hallway.
Always remember your key when you leave the apartment. If you forget a key and get locked out, there are few options after the Super, Jair leaves for the day. Locking the apartment door when you leave the apartment every time is a good reminder to bring the keys with you. (The only time I got locked out was when I didn’t lock the door and went out for a quick errand)
Take off city shoes in the entry area
When you arrive and depart you will need to get and leave the keys at a KeyCafe on 8th Avenue. The building doesn't allow lock boxes outside. It's a little extra time you will need to and from the airport. We suggest you have the Uber make that extra stop. You will get the instructions and a code for the KeyCafe once you book.
The building washer and dryer are easy access from the bedroom. Download the app and follow the instructions.
There is something about this apartment that is hard to describe. All our people; family and friends love staying here. It is so quiet and relaxing; hard to believe you are in the City. Enjoy

December 2025Location, location!
Had a lovely stay, sadly shortened due to weather delays. Great communication with Cory. Cannot beat the location to absolutely everything you need, transportation, Central Park etc. Only regret was that we couldn’t use the patio since our visit was in the winter. ”
