August 2026Lovely Italian traditional Villa
Part of our 2026 grand European Thirdhome tour, we were so looking forward to this week, which delivered on many, many fronts but did have a couple issues for future Thirdhomers to look out for. First the negatives - there was no a/c as advised there was on listing. When arriving in a heatwave of up to 40 degrees, this took a bit of adjusting. Also there was no washing machine accessible either - this was also a little challenging as we had plenty sweaty clothes to wash !!! Also a few missing items like kettle, toaster, functioning BBq grill etc. Positively, the home was a truly authentic Italian Umbrian villa - it offered plenty of living spaces and a great swimming pool. The rooms were spacious and even though it was hot, the home allowed for air flow to get through once opened up. There is a Billiards table and plenty board games as well. Orvieto only a 20 minute drive away. Laura the property manager was a star - she was there for check in and check out and checked in on us by whatsapp. She helped us out where she could. We had a couple great day trips to local villages but this was mostly a week to chill by the pool. Nice touch from the owner to offer us a couple of bottles of wine in recognition of there being no accessible washing machine. Homely - 9/10 Cleanliness - 8/10 Listing Accuracy - 2/5 Week long comfort - 7/10 Local Amenity / Surrounds - 8/10 Departure - 4/5 45-50 - 5 stars overall 35-44- 4 stars overall 25-34- 3 stars overall 15-24 - 2 stars overall 5-14 - 1 star overall 0-4 - not rateable. ”

August 2026A peaceful retreat
We had the most restful and magical stay at this wonderful farmhouse. The house itself was charmingly decorated with so many beautiful pieces of furniture. Check in and check out where incredibly easy and Laura took time recommending restaurants and attending to anything we needed. She was wonderfully communicative. The pool was perfect too. You would most certainly need a car as it is rural but only a few minutes from a great trattoria and Orvieto around 20 minutes. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their picturesque home. X”
