Taormina is Magic

Our visit to Isola Bella in Taormina was absolutely unforgettable. The accommodation, perched high on a cliff overlooking the sea, offered truly breathtaking views. The home itself is beautifully appointed, with exceptional outdoor spaces that make the most of the stunning setting. Although the weather didn’t fully cooperate, we thoroughly enjoyed the interior comforts and took the opportunity to explore the surrounding towns. Taormina is a true gem—elegant, vibrant, and absolutely worth a visit. Nearby Giardini Naxos was incredibly convenient, offering great restaurants, scenic seaside walks along the promenade, and easy access to groceries and everyday needs. A special highlight of our stay was meeting Mario, who welcomed us on arrival and completely transformed our experience from that of visitors to something much more local and authentic. Through him, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting at Gambino Winery, a private sausage-making experience, and several relaxed coffee meetups that made us feel truly connected to the area. We left with lasting memories and very much hope to return to Sicily again. FYI Taormina is where the second season of White Lotus was filmed.”

Most Beautiful view in Taormina!!

This apartment has the most amazing view in all of Taormina. It sits directly in front of the beautiful Isola Bella....from sunrise to sunset, every window is filled with this lovely view. There is a private terrace with dining table outdoors which overlooks this beautiful island as well. Giuseppe was a fantastic host - he was very responsive and made sure someone was waiting for us when we didn't arrive until 11pm the first night due to car rental issues. Also, he helped us when he saw it would be difficult for my husband to get from the parking lot to the apartment due to my husband's bad knees. Giuseppe allowed us to park our car nearest the elevator to make transit from the parking lot to the apartment easier for us. There is plenty to do locally, both in Taormina (take the cable car up) and many restaurants also along the local coastline . Great food and lovely people. Longer day trips are also available and Giuseppe provided information on what is interesting. I give this apartment my highest rating!! Unforgettable terrace overlooking Isolabella

Giuseppe was an extremely helpful and generous host. Provided us with a warm welcome and all the information needed. The cleaning of the apartment in the middle of the stay was a nice bonus. The most striking feature of the place for us was the terrace, hanging on the cliff above the sea overlooking Isolabella where 2nd White Lotus series were shot. We have watched the sun rise from it every morning and then enjoyed afternoon drinks in the evening. The small private beach had the most dramatic and beautiful access - by stairs or elevator cut in rocks. We have walked in Taormina almost every day, discovering its less visited sites. Tour of the places where Godfather was shot with the guide was very interesting, too. As was the wine testing with lunch at some of the nice wineries around Etna. What a great week to spend! ”
