April 2026Good location set amid lovely gardens
The apartment is located in a grand building set amid lovely gardens, on a hill above the town - a reasonable walk to the main shopping and restaurant areas, though a fairly energetic walk back up the hill afterwards! The apartment itself, while small, is comfortable. The property information highlights that the location beneath the porch provides natural shade (rendering air conditioning unnecessary - though there is a fan, which we did use at night), but it does mean that the apartment is dark and does not have any views, so it can feel a little claustrophobic. It is also worth noting that there is no dishwasher or microwave. Consequently, the property is best suited to those that need a base to explore the town and the wider area (or sitting in the extensive gardens during nice weather), but won't necessarily spend a lot of time inside the apartment during the day, or look to reheat food or drinks at any time. In that regard, it suited us well.”
