Description

Cascade Mountain Wellness Retreat

Highlights:
• Direct Skykomish River frontage

• Hot tub, sauna, and gazebo

• Gated mountain-river community

Set directly along the Skykomish River in Gold Bar, this riverfront cabin offers a rare blend of wilderness atmosphere, mountain scenery, and restorative outdoor amenities. Positioned within a private gated riverfront community, the home sits on two spacious lots with unobstructed views of the water, the Cascade Mountain range, and Mt. Index. It is a peaceful base for nature lovers, families, pet owners, and adventure-minded guests drawn to the Skykomish Valley’s rivers, trails, forests, and mountain backdrop.

Inside, the cabin is warm, relaxed, and thoughtfully equipped for easy group stays. The living area centers around a wood stove, creating a cozy gathering place after time outdoors, while the kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, blender, Nespresso Vertuo machine, traditional coffee maker, wine glasses, dining table, and cooking essentials. Fast Wi-Fi, a TV, board games, and comfortable shared spaces make the home well suited for quiet mornings, movie nights, and unhurried evenings by the fire.

The three-bedroom layout accommodates guests across one queen bedroom and two double bedrooms, with an additional sofa bed in the living room for flexible sleeping. Family-friendly touches include a crib, Pack ’n Play, children’s dinnerware, baby gates, and childproof interior locks. Bedding, extra pillows and blankets, hangers, clothing storage, heating, hot water, and bath amenities add practical comfort throughout the stay. Emergency lighting is provided for occasional power outages, though water service may be unavailable during outages, and guests traveling with dogs are asked to clean up after pets and crate them if left unattended. Guests should note that the cabin does not include air conditioning or a washer, and the home is set in a remote wilderness area where conditions can shift.

Outdoor living is the defining experience here. A saltwater hot tub overlooks the river and mountains, while a four-person barrel sauna offers a warming retreat after a river cold plunge or a day exploring the valley. The gazebo sits above the water with a smokeless fire pit, creating a memorable setting for fireside evenings with the sound of the river below. A covered deck with propane BBQ, open lawn, outdoor dining area, and generous parking for up to six vehicles make the property especially comfortable for relaxed mountain-river gatherings.

From this Gold Bar setting, guests are well placed for hiking Lake Serene, taking in the views from Heybrook Lookout, skiing at Stevens Pass, visiting Espresso Chalet or the Bush House Inn near Index, and planning a day trip to Leavenworth. The area is also suited to rafting, fishing where conditions and regulations allow, and scenic drives through the Cascade foothills. Cell service becomes limited near the cabin, reinforcing the sense of retreat. The result is a grounded, nature-forward stay where riverfront stillness, mountain views, hot tub soaks, sauna sessions, and wood-fired evenings create the rhythm of the escape.

Good to Know:
Adult supervision is required for children when using the sauna, hot tub, and river areas. The river is a natural, fast-moving environment, and nearby waterfalls may create additional hazards. Guests should use caution, research conditions in advance, and exercise sound judgment if planning to float the river. Life jackets are strongly recommended for children in the hot tub and river, but are not provided
