With ferry or boat access required and golf cart rentals recommended, the home is designed for travelers who want privacy, water access, and the slower rhythm of Daufuskie Island.

Inside, the cottage is bright, relaxed, and well suited to multi-day stays. The open living, dining, and kitchen areas allow guests to move easily between indoor comfort and outdoor gathering spaces. A full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, Keurig coffee station, coffee maker, and starter amenities supports easy meals at home after a day on the island.

The three-bedroom layout accommodates up to six guests across two king bedrooms and a family-style bunk room with a trundle, double bunk, and single bunk configuration. Each bedroom has access to its own bathroom, including two shower bathrooms and one tub-shower combination, offering added comfort and privacy for families or small groups. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable, televisions, washer and dryer, extra pillows and blankets, hair dryer, ironing board, iron, hangers, and local guest support add practical ease throughout the stay.

Outdoor living is the heart of Turtle Cottage. The private dock extends the home out over the water, creating a memorable setting for quiet mornings, river breezes, and sunset views toward Savannah. Beneath the home, the open-air lower level offers hammock seating, ping pong, cornhole, and shaded space for relaxed gatherings, while the gas grill makes casual outdoor meals simple. A shared outdoor fireplace within Moon River adds another inviting place to settle in after a day by the water.
