Description

The Hay Barn

Set in the North Yorkshire countryside near Slingsby, this elegant barn conversion combines traditional architectural character with thoughtful contemporary design. Exposed brickwork, flagstone flooring and original timber beams create a warm sense of place, complemented by carefully selected furnishings and high quality finishes throughout.

The home accommodates eight guests across four beautifully appointed bedrooms, with space for up to ten by prior arrangement. Each bedroom can be configured with either a super king bed or twin beds, providing flexibility for families and groups. All four bedrooms have private bathrooms, including atmospheric mezzanine bathing spaces where skylights bring natural light above deep soaking tubs. Molton Brown toiletries add a refined finishing touch.

Generous communal spaces form the heart of the home. The dramatic double height dining room features a substantial table for shared meals, while the comfortable living room centres around a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. A large 4K Smart TV, Bose sound system and inviting seating create an ideal setting for relaxed evenings.

The substantial farmhouse kitchen is equally well equipped, with granite surfaces, a Rangemaster oven, five burner gas hob, American style refrigerator and dedicated breakfast table.

Outside, a private garden, barbecue area and hot tub provide additional spaces to unwind. Off road parking, internet access and family friendly amenities further enhance the home, while pets are also welcome.
