What a beautiful view of the ocean. Setting 20 feet above the wide sandy beach was absolutely the best vacation we've experienced on the Oregon coast. We ate enough fresh seafood at the local restaurants to get us through until our next Oregon Beach vacation. The cottage was clean and cozy, well maintained and had everything we needed. Magical Location

I surprised my wife with a stay at Sand Dollar Cabin in Lincoln City. It was simply a magical vacation. The cabin is located on one of the finest possible places on the beautiful Oregon Coast. We enjoyed the famous agate hunting reef directly in from of us and ooohed and awed and magnificent sunsets each evening, strolling the beach or relaxing on the ocean-side deck. We also enjoyed day trips to so many great spots both north and south of Lincoln City from its central location. The interior of Sand Dollar Cabin has been professionally and thoughtfully decorated and provides all the amenities needed for an upscale stay. Thank you, John, for the inspiring stay!”

Perfect Beach House For Two!

What a wonderful beach home on the coast of Oregon. John has put a lot of attention into this beautiful house and he was an excellent host that gave us so many great recommendations. So many adventures including horseback riding on the beach, chartering a boat in Depot Bay for whale watching, hiking to Gods Thumb and Drift Creek Falls, exploring Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farm and taking a coastal drive up to Cannon Beach for the day. Evenings were usually spent walking the beach and enjoying the sunset from the deck or hot tub. Lovely area and home and looking forward to go back again!”

Oregon Coast Vacation

This is a delightful place to stay for a get away week. The cabin is right on the beach and is well furnished. It is perfect for a couple but I think it would get crowded even for 4 people. There is only one bathroom. The area is great to explore both north and south on the Pacific Coast Highway. The Oregon wine country is close by and we spent several days visiting wineries. We were going to use the outdoor grill one evening but there was no propane. We enjoyed our week here a lot”

Absolutely Perfect!

Absolutely Perfect! Took my Dad on a trip to the Oregon coast. In October 2021. Best part was John’s ocean front Sand Dollar Cabin! We did everything, beach walks, sightseeing, whale watching, I hiked Gods Thunb trail by the cabin and one of our favorite things was creating our own glass pieces at Lincoln City Glass! Thank you John this was a wonderful trip one my Dad and I will never forget!”

Beach Walks to Hot Tub

We returned again to the majestic Oregon coast where the beauty of the ocean brings relaxation and rest. The brisk beach walks down to the tide pools are envigorating. Then, we'd warm up by soaking in the hot tub as we watched and listened to the crashing waves from the lawn of the Sand Dollar Cabin. Thanks John for being a super host and making our stay perfect. A seaside respite

Sand Dollar Cabin was the perfect weekend respite. The property has unobstructed sea views and has very easy access to the beach. The home was immaculately clean and well prepared for my arrival. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the living area receives gorgeous natural light during the day. Mornings started with tea on the outside deck and evenings ended with watching the sunset with a glass of wine in the hot tub. The hiking trail to The Knoll and God’s Thumb is easily accessible (about a 10 minute walk) from the home and was the highlight of my stay! John is a wonderful, communicative host and I am very thankful that he and his family share their special home with this club. Thank you John for your warm hospitality!”

We loved our time in this beautifully decorated waterfront cabin. After playing in the waves, we'd warm up in the hot tub where we enjoyed beautiful views. Great vacation spot for anyone who loves the water and beauty of the ocean.”

A week break on the Pacific Ocean

Sand Dollar was a simple yet beautiful experience. The crashing waves and beautiful sunsets, cosy authentic west coast style with lovely interior decoration made for a great relaxing stay. On the down side the cabin is suffering from the weather and age and will need some renovations very soon.. the owner is aware of this and has already started some works. Dont let this deter you however, as overall and for the number of keys I would say it is well worth it. Something we did not suspect about the area, is the quality food that can be found both in the local safeway and small organic shop. Also we highly recommend the hike above the cabin which takes you to the top of a small hill with fantastic 360 views of the coastline. Thank you John for a sharing your cabin.”

Nice Place but very small

Just back from Lincoln City and had a wonderful time. The house is right on the beach and the area is absolutely beautiful. The house is nicely equipped, with a real nice above ground jacuzzi on the side of the house with cool ocean views. John, the owner, was very accommodating and the management company was responsive when we called. One thing, the house is pretty small and has only one tiny bathroom (nice though) and no closets. It was just my wife and me so it was not a big deal and would OK for parents and small kids, but for two couples it would pretty cramped, to say the least. ”

I cannot express how adorable this place is. We had a lovely time, and John was very helpful suggesting places to visit. The landscape of the Oregon coast is breathtaking and well worth our drive from Central California. We cannot wait to visit again. ”

Wonderful location!

Thank you John for an amazing stay! We loved your charming home. The views of the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. And on more than one occasion we viewed sea lions swimming in the surf.
