Description

Situated in the village of Ban Bang Makham, 30km from the airport and only 5km from the capital, Nathon, Villa Elysian is on the quiet side of the island and only 3km from the newly built Four Seasons Resort.

There are a large number of both local and international restaurants nearby and Koh Samui is well known for the many spas that are available at a reasonable cost.

Being an island there are ample water sports with some of the best diving and fishing at your doorstep. We are also only 12km from the only 18 hole golf course on the island, Santiburi Golf & Country Club

This is the perfect retreat if you are looking for some privacy as there is only one other house in the vicinity with the rest of the surroundings being coconut palms.

The villa is a fully staffed 3 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on the North West corner of a tropical island in Thailand called Koh Samui.

The villa is perched on a hill side 1km from the beach and commands uninterrupted sea views. There is a 10 x 5m infinity pool, Bose sound system, plasma tv, fibre optic wi-fi broadband internet, and fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and the villa sits on 800 sqm of landscaped garden. Two full time staff live on site and will tend to your every need to ensure you have an amazing holiday.

A management company looks after the villa and can arrange airport transfers; it is recommended that you rent a car as the villa is away from the main road - we can put you in touch with a car rental company that will deliver and pick up either from the villa or airport. A chef can also be arranged for a private dinner.

Places of Interest

  • The 40-some jagged jungle islands of Ang Thong Marine National Park stretch across the cerulean sea like a shattered emerald necklace – each piece a virgin realm featuring sheer limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons and perfect peach-coloured sands.

Fantastic stay!

We really enjoyed our week at Villa Elysian on the Thai island of Koh Samui. The information that we were able to get from the owner (Shane), the property manager (Khun Nim) and Ann/Bam (who live on the property) was excellent. Here is some scoop I think might be helpful: they have USB plugs for phone charging, hair dryers, a washing machine (with soap), full kitchen with coffee maker and coffee, a tea kettle and tea, a blender with ice trays in the freezer, a microwave to heat up leftovers, several games, a decent selection of books (I left one behind), beach/pool towels and soap/shampoo. Additionally, you can walk down the hill (about 10-15 min) and find a 7/11 (with ATM) for snacks/drinks and several beachside restaurants (we really liked Johm Thong and Aroma Italian - for pizza - plus Ann/Bam picked up Thai food for us two nights). We initially thought we would rent a car/moped but after driving from the airport in a taxi that Nim arranged for 800 Baht, we rethought that plan - the driving/roads were a recipe for stress even though we lived in Italy for 3 years! So, another option is that you can download the Grab app (like Uber) and they will come to the villa and take you places for about 400 Baht each way (cash) - at least to everywhere we went - it would cost more if you went further. The first day, we had 4 women came to the villa to do Thai massages on the 4 of us (600 Baht per massage). The next day, we did the Full Day Safari (even got to see elephants) for 1500 Baht per person and the following day was the Full Day Boat Tour to Angthong National Marine Park for 2000 Baht per person (we got lucky and saw monkeys) - Nim arranged all of these things for us and we were picked up at the villa or Ann drove us down to the bottom of the hill. Between those two tours, we really got to see it all! One day, we had a lunch reservation at Pla Pla at the Four Seasons (think White Lotus Season 3). Another day, we went to Mai Samui Beach Resort and for 700 Baht per person, you could stay all day and it included a drink and a towel. They had a lovely pool area, beach chairs and decent food but a highlight is that we all 4 got "coconut oil" massages next door by two older ladies! Neat experience hearing the waves while getting a massage. Another day, we ate lunch at the beachside Cape Away Beach Bar and then got to use their beach loungers for free and the water was lovely (we brought our own towels). When we weren't out and about, we really enjoyed the villa - staying mostly outside on the lounge chairs or at the seating area or in the pool. The photos were a perfect representation of the villa - no surprises. We bought sunscreen and bug spray but they also had it at the house (and we left ours behind). We only saw a few mosquitos and we kept the screens closed at night. We also loved that Bam made us fruit plates for breakfast most days and that she and Ann lived on the property in case we needed anything (we had a small issue with the air conditioner one day). We definitely had a relaxing visit to Koh Samui, felt like we got to see pretty much all we wanted to see on the island and enjoyed the food immensely. We would highly recommend staying at Villa Elysian if you go to Koh Samui!”

Beautiful home in Koh Samui

This is the perfect spot to relax in Thailand. The three air conditioned bedrooms are very comfortable, each with their own bathroom and balcony. The inside and outside living areas are beautifully designed with views of the Gulf. The onsite staff are friendly and helpful. Bom cut up delicious fruit for us each morning to enjoy. She and Nim wouldn’t let us lift a finger to clean. An added luxury is the refreshing pool. We all thoroughly enjoyed our daily swim. The house is perfectly located in a quiet area but a close drive to everything on the island. ”

Our own little OASIS!

Loved everything about this home. The pool, the cabana, the rooms; and especially the staff. Two of our friends joined us on our staff and we spent equal time enjoying the pool and outdoor area as we did cruising the island on our scooters. Was concerned about location being too remote but there is the small town of Nathon is just 10 minutes away (grocery store, restaurants and shopping). There is also great Italian Restaurant (Aromi) at the base of the hill when you want a break from Thai, And if you want to go to the busy side the island, it's only 30 minutes away. Turned out to be the perfect location for us. Can't say enough about the staff. Yes, we did have to use google translate (free app) at times but the ever smiling Bom and Am were a pleasure to be around and very helpful. They even put on a cooking school for us; best Thai food we've ever had!! Thank you for letting us stay in your home. It was awesome!”
