September 2024Amazing views
This was our second stay at Selong Selo, which is a recommendation in itself :) We got a beautiful welcome from the staff, complete with flower leis. The view is still great as are the facilities. The place is still extremely quiet - which might be just what you're looking for. Villa is spacious and clean, though missing some kitchen equipment. We made good use of the free shuttle bus provided during the day to get to the beach. Be aware that there are no restaurants near the resort (apart from their own) so you need to budget an extra $40 car charge for each trip. We are used to using gojek (like uber) in nearby Bali so this was a significant extra cost for us. The big thing they need to address so you can enjoy this beautiful location in peace, are the monkeys. We were told to keep the doors closed all the time (such a shame in a tropical location) but even that wasn't enough as they got them open to ransack the cookie jar. They would fling themselves at the door, baring their teeth and shaking it back and forth. My daughter was too scared to leave the villa alone. I live int he jungle in Bali so I'm all for harmony with nature - it was their place before ours - but this seems to have got out of balance compared to my visit in 2022. I hope they sort it out as the staff are all charming and very keen to please and the view is indeed amazing. ”

January 2024Relaxing opulance
We enjoyed the island living situation, and the property did not disappoint. You will need a car to go to the other resorts and beaches - as the resort is remorely located. However, having a restaurant with good food and housekeeping available are a luxury while on holiday. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your holiday home. It is just lovely. ”

May 2022Views don't get much better than this
Beautiful villa, well appointed and the minor maintenance issues we had were dealt with promptly. The resort staff are super friendly and very helpful. The free shuttle to the beach was great - though we shocked them by insisting on walking a few times :) (just over an hour, make sure you find out the short route from the staff) ”
