1920s Lake Cottage with Resort Amenities

Bring your boat or enjoy the views from the land, this gorgeous lake house has it all! Built from Cypress cut from the property, this house was home to the original settlers of the area. Fully remodeled in 2013, the1920s charm is still present throughout. Decorated in Florida Nautical/Lodge style, the home feels comfortable and sophisticated all at the same time.

A stay with us includes use of the Mission Inn Resort facilities. The outdoor and recreation experiences offered by Mission Inn Resort & Club are both diverse and unique. In addition to championship golf, the resort offers guests an opportunity to experience trap & skeet shooting, tennis, fresh water fishing, nature trails, a pool, playgrounds, many restaurants, and more. You'll run out of vacation days before running out of things to do at Mission Inn Resort & Club.

The house is fully furnished with a fully stocked kitchen. Three bedrooms include a master with a king bed and a master bath, and two additional bedrooms: one with a full-size bed and the other with a queen and a twin. These two bedrooms share the guest bath. The living room has a queen pull-out sofa for which linens are provided. We have a pack & play if you would like to use it (bring own crib sheet & blankets).

Our house is a wonderful place to bring children as there are peacocks that roam the neighborhood and lots of wildlife to be seen around the property. The Yalaha Bakery is in walking distance of the house and has live music on Saturdays from 11 to 2. The house is conveniently located just 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants.

Fantastic Sunsets

Fell in love with this tranquil town and oh the views! I now want to purchase a vacation home here. The home is situated in one of the best locations overseeing the beautiful sunsets. I’m a Native Floridian own a property in the Keys and had no idea about the Harris Chain of lakes. Nice! The Dora canal connecting the big lakes was like a ride at Animal Kingdom at Disney World. So beautiful. The home is very comfortable with plenty of space. Had everything we needed for a nice stay. Wish the home had a dock though. We couldn’t leave our little Boston Whaler in the lake. Wish I would have known of Mission Inn Marina where I could have rented some space for the days I was there. I would love to go back. Master bedroom bed was super comfortable. We didn’t use hot spa since it was outside in the elements with trees and lizards and didn’t look appealing plus it was super hot outside with lots of mosquitos. One day at theme park was lots of fun too. We would love to return with our boat now that we know about marina. ”

Lovely lake cottage

A cute, lovely lake cottage. The view of the Lake was amazing and the house nicely decorated. Confortable, clean and relaxing home. A really pretty area, very quiet and full of birds and squirrels. We enjoyed watching the peacocks roaming around. It was a great place to hang out and a great location for our trip. 40 minutes to Orlando, 80 minutes to Tampa and 5 minutes far from a supermarket. It was also nice being able to go to the Mission Inn for playing golf, swim in their pool and relax in the jacuzzi.”
