November 2021Great stay - outdoor accessibility and peaceful
Beautiful home (very comfortable), all amenities, wonderful location (outside of Taos), great for accessing the outdoors - hiking and biking. Good selection of restaurants, groceries, wine etc. near by. Had a wonderful stay. Responsive and delightful owner. ”

June 2020"A Very Special Place"
We returned to the Sangre de Cristo Foothill Retreat for a 2nd stay for our summer family getaway. Our holiday in this lovely home was as exceptional as our first visit in February 2020. Summer in the Taos valley is beautiful, and the the home is ideal to enjoy everything Taos has to offer. Stellar sunrises and sunsets, a kitchen for all to become "chefs and sous chefs", great indoor and outdoor space, well-appointed decor, and so relaxing after a day of hiking, biking, and gallery hopping. All the comforts of home! The owner Jeppe, and caretaker Barbara are immediately available for all of your needs and want. Thanks so much from all of us!!!!”

February 2020Land of Enchantment
Our vacation at Sangre de Cristo Foothill Retreat was wonderful. The house was a perfect retreat to relax at the end of busy ski day. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace while sipping our margaritas. Every other morning a flock of wild turkeys would visit the patio. The town of Taos offers lots of shopping and art galleries to explore.”
