June 2026Living Local in Cottage Country
This lovely, modern and updated cottage with beautiful views of Liffey Lake and its surrounding hills was a perfect way to enjoy living like the locals in what felt like Dublin's cottage country. Kitchen well-stocked, beds and linens comfortable, WhatsApp communications timely and efficient. We were welcomed in-person by the delightful property manager Tonia, whom we subsequently met at one of two local pubs we frequented after our country drives or walks. By the end of the week, we were on a first-name basis with the very friendly pub owners at Zellers in Lacken and DJCullen's in Ballyknockan, each a 2km drive, left or right, from the end of our driveway.”
